Edit: this is starting to seem like the world where monotheism just didn’t really work out. Catholicism has been in retreat for a while, the European pagans are all reforming. I can’t tell what’s up with Islam but the caliphate sure doesn’t sound like it’s following a stable healthy dynasty. I guess the mongols are Muslim so there’s that.
