I find this stuff mildly curious in a nerdy way. Here's Jokers' response to Jackson's big week.

I'm a little worried Tommy's sneaking into AFP contention but hopefully he and Cliff take from each other.

I could maybe be sold that Tommy would vote for Nicole over Jackson because of bitterness and him wanting to go with the fan favorite. I can maybe be sold that Christie would vote for Nicole over Jackson to stick it to Jackson one last time. I can't be sold that Christie will do it because Tommy told her to. That's not how that relationship worked.

You think there's a chance in hell that Tommy would vote for Jackson under any circumstance? Jackson nuked that bridge. Hitler could be sitting next to Jackson in the F2 and Tommy would vote against Jackson. That vote is burned. You can't do what Jackson did and keep that vote.

And you don't think that if Tommy tells Christie that Jackson loving screwed him like a sociopath in a a house meeting she won't vote against him?

Not to mention that Tommy will be on a loving war path in the jury house and will be telling everyone how Jackson hosed him. That house meeting might have destroyed Jackson's game.

Tommy came out of that with two mixed responses of "that piece of poo poo hosed me" and "that genius out played me." So given time I could see either one of those winning out. But Tommy never gave a poo poo about Nicole and only started talking to her at all after Nick self destructed and they kind of ended up stuck together as his allies on the wrong side of things and he didn't even try to cut a deal with her until after she threw him a life preserver after winning POV. Tommy decided very early in the season who his friends were and who was worthy of his time and attention and he was pathological about it all season.

Basically I would be surprised if a Jury comprised of Gr8ful members voted against a Gr8ful member and for an outsider, and of all of them the one I most think would want Gr8ful to win the season would be the one who spent all season desperately trying to hold it together or reunite it. Tommy loves his Gr8ful friends. He's forgiven them many times. It wouldn't be the first time he forgave Jackson for trying to ruin his game and target him.

I think Christie does what she wants to do and Tommy's opinion has no major affect on that. Maybe she'll want to stick it to Jackson and get her revenge. That wouldn't shock me. Maybe she'll identify Jackson as a villain and Nicole as a fan favorite and want to be on the right side of that. But I don't think she especially cares what he did to Tommy or how Tommy feels about it. At least not enough to change what she wants to do.

FYI, Nicole is working on Jackson to vote out Holly for a promised F2 seat, and Cliff is going to do the same later. It's a bold move, probably won't work, but they're going for it.

They should definitely try *something* but I think they need a crazier Hail Mary than that to get any traction here. Jackson has no reason to believe any deals he makes with Cliff and Nicole after the past week.

Yeah, I think what Jackson did was unforgivable in the game and out. It was cruel and Tommy was dying inside. I don't see him forgetting that in the next week and he's a charismatic and likeable enough guy to gently caress Jackson's chances. I think Jackson really screwed himself with that whole thing when he really didn't have to.

I think the thing to remember is that what we saw Sunday night was Tommy Thursday morning/afternoon right in the middle of all the drama. The Tommy we saw Thursday night seemed more at peace with it to me and less angry. Maybe that was a show or the high of the live eviction but we basically watched Tommy's emotional journey backwards.

I think Nicole and Cliff actually intend to keep their offers and from what I've seen Nicole is offering to throw Part 1 of the HOH and Cliff is offering the same plus to take him to F2. Nicole has given Cliff her blessing to take Jackson to F2 because she rather see Cliff get through than neither of them. But even if Jackson buys it (which he won't because he's convinced himself they're the most evil backstabbers in the history of the game and he's lived a life of being betrayed tragically) it doesn't actually improve his situation over Holly who guarantees one of them wins one of the HOH legs. The angle there would be if he thought Holly would cut him. But Holly just threw a HOH and sacrificed her own safety to better Jackson's odds of survival at the cost of hers. Her head's not really in "how do I cut Jackson" mode.

The best angle is still probably to convince Jackson that Holly will beat him. Cliff was planning to play that a bit but I doubt it will work any. It will just be something Jackson tells to Holly more dramatically and nefariously and then Holly will rant for a week about it.

People seem to be able to keep it together for live eviction night. But I really think Tommy is dead set on making sure Jackson doesn't win. That was bullshit that someone isn't going to get over in a week and a half.

As for Nicole and Cliff, we just disagree again, I don't see anyway in hell either take Jackson to the F2. They're lying to try a last ditch effort to save Cliff. I think they would both rather lose to each other than see Jackson win. I think Jackson knows that too. He knows he can beat Holly. He knows he can't beat Cliff, but I think he thinks he can beat Nicole although I think he might be wrong. So I don't think he's going to take the deal, but we'll see. The tension in the house is strong.

Nicole wouldn't but from what I've seen she's not promising to. Just to throw one of the HOH legs to him.

Cliff on the other hand is the same guy who told Nicole he had to keep his word to Jackson and take him to F3 this week, changed up the plan of evicting Holly because he was scared of upsetting Jackson, and pushed Nicole to cut a new deal with Jackson/Holly. Cliff's got a blind spot for Jackson and always has. Jackson himself once told his Gr8ful allies that Cliff is blinded by the "southern gentleman" thing and he can play him and its born out much of the season. I suspect he thinks like you that he can beat Jackson against a bitter jury, but he's also unquestionably been fooled by Jackson's whole act and he's praised him to the cameras many times as an honorable and good man.

But its moot either way. Jackson just got done risking blowing up his game and tv edit to keep Holly. He's not voting her out a week later.

https://twitter.com/BB21Tea/status/1174103065458200576

Nicole confirming she doesn’t plan to take Jackson F2. She did kind of talk out the idea that as a fan she’d like to see Jackson at the end but she recognizes that would be a dumb game move. She’s still holding out hope that she and Jackson can convince Jackson to boot Holly. Which is silly but I guess you gotta do what you can.

https://twitter.com/powerofcheeto1/status/1174101579814887424

Holly is called to DR but takes a shower first. Then she’s called to DR and she doesn’t go because now she has to get ready. Is it a wonder BB hates Holly? Instead she hangs around Jackson to tell him how hypocritical it is that Cliff and Nicole are “guilt tripping” him because they showed no remorse when they were going to evict her. Which is a weird way to say it because they clearly did feel remorse because they changed their minds.

https://twitter.com/bigbroaccess/status/1174110409810481153

Cliff’s tried to sell Jackson on how he’s always been loyal to him and pushed Nicole not to target him at the DE or not to evict Holly. This is all true and Cliff is one of the big reasons Jackson’s survived, but Jackson just puts it on Nicole and Cliff suffering for her mistakes and Cliff screwing himself by putting Nicole’s over his individual game. Its just a repeat of the same Jackson stuff over and over and over and over with him blaming everyone but himself for everything. Cliff has a lot more patience for it than Nicole does. Then again Nicole has safety so she doesn’t have to listen to it if she doesn’t want to.
https://twitter.com/hamsterwatch/status/1174115538693345280

Cliff also offered his F2 to Jackson and told him Nicole has “released him” of any of their agreements since she feels guilty. Jackson claimed he was considering it but Cliff noted that he immediately started making out with Holly and knows Jackson’s just stringing him along for Jury Management. Cliff doesn’t seem to appreciate it very much and says he’ll remember it come voting time. Like Nicole he recognizes that there’s some truth to what Jackson’s saying but he’s also playing the martyr when he cut a bunch of deals he didn’t intend to keep to cover himself. He plans to try make the jury count argument tomorrow but doesn’t think it will really help. Why campaign in pieces? That’s how BB21 does it.

Orwell hates Holly as much as BB does.
https://twitter.com/BBADOrwell/status/1174127613952090112

Holly got excited because BB gave them cilantro. I knew I hated her for a reason. She’s a cilantro person. MONSTER!

Cliff and Nicole went over the Jury votes for Holly and Jackson a bit trying to figure out who is easier to beat. They both agreed that Jackson pissed off a lot of people and should lose some votes, but that Holly is the easier person to beat and you can present her as riding Jackson’s coattails. Cliff told Nicole that Jackson told him Holly thinks she hates her, which surprised Nicole since Nicole didn’t even hate the people who overtly bullied her in the house. She theorizes that Jackson might be stirring it up to make sure they don’t take each other at F3. That’s clever but no, Holly just is doing what she’s done with all her “friends” this season. Cliff tells Nicole last minute he’ll threaten Jackson that if he “burns him” then he’ll lose Cliff and Nicole’s jury votes.

Everyone’s being really melodramatic about the current situation. Cliff is talking endlessly to the cameras about how hurt he is by Jackson and how he may lose a friend, Jackson is whining about betrayed he’s been and how he has the “weight of the world on his shoulders” with this decision, Nicole is guilt ridden that Cliff is going and she’s safe, and Holly can’t stop whining about throwing that loving HOH.

Cliff’s plan for today is to make a full court press on Jackson, telling him he’s a villain of the show, that Holly will beat him in the jury vote, that Jackson will vote against him and poison the jury against him, etc. That obviously won’t work but Jackson and Holly might get all extra about it.

She wonders what her parents think of Jackson. Before Cliff’s big last minute nuclear option “laying down the law” campaign to Jackson, Jackson goes and does his new “I’m a good person” show and drops to his knees and prays dramatically out loud.
https://twitter.com/girlsmeg/status/1174491839006593024

Jackson finishes his prayers but makes Cliff wait while he carves up another watermelon.
https://twitter.com/squalo/status/1174500151496495104

Finally getting to it Cliff says he loves Jackson but he has five points. Lordy. Its a bunch of rehashing of poo poo that I’m not bothering with. You said you wanted to go the end with fighters. You betrayed me and ruined everything. I had your back. You shouldn’t have been loyal to Nicole. Cliff does manage to work Jackson into FINALLY admitting that Holly’s been his #1 for awhile… sorta. Cliff points out that Jackson was talking about going to F3 with Cliff and Nicole so Jackson backtracks and says he just wanted to fight it out at 4. Cliff tries to sell the idea that voting out Holly was trying to get her out for Jackson and keep his hands clean since he wouldn’t have to do it at F4. Admirable attempt. Round and round. Everything is Nicole’s fault. Cliff just wants together to F3 so his family is flown out. Jackson is deeply torn. Blah blah blah.

Ok, onto the main event. Cliff says when the show airs it will show Cliff had Jackson’s back and intended to take him to F2, that Holly kept her word and threw HOH, but that Jackson was the one who broke his word. Cliff points out Jackson made the F2 deal with him after he’s saying he had already decided to protect Holly over him. Cliff says it goes against Jackson’s character and how he played the game. “If you can live with it, it is what it is.” Of course Jackson can live with it because he’s played the entire game like that. Cliff and Jackson agree that they’re both honorable men and its that nefarious New Yorker Nicole’s fault.

Ok, we finally get to the jury votes. Cliff says he’s voting Nicole over Jackson and if its Holly it will “heavily affect” his and Nicole’s decisions that Holly kept her word and Jackson didn’t. Cliff argues that if he sends Holly to the jury he’s not only got her vote (after he voted her out?) but she’s an advocate for him in the Jury House. Cliff says Jackson’s not getting his 5 votes if Cliff and Nicole are in the Jury. Jackson is struck speechless at this.

https://twitter.com/BBGossip/status/1174505367906205697

That was a flop, as expected. As you can imagine Jackson handles this with a calm and understanding acknowledgment that Cliff is desperate and like Jackson did to Tommy, maybe crossing some lines he didn’t want.

Nah, I’m kidding. Jackson’s pissed.
https://twitter.com/girlsmeg/status/1174506136675860480

Cliff tells Nicole he doesn’t think it went well and Jackson is pissed, but Cliff is ok with that because he meant it and it was his only play left. Cliff claims he fully intends to go poison the jury if he goes out. I don’t think F4 evictee actually goes to the Jury House, but he’ll have the round table. Cliff remains blissfuly hopeful. Nicole is debating piling on by threatening to take Holly at F2 if Jackson votes Cliff out. Which is a silly threat since if Jackson kept Cliff Nicole would take Cliff and she should take Holly anyway.

Jackson is fuming alone. Holly is in DR so he has no one to rage out to. But this story will probably go well with Holly’s “they’re arrogant bullies” kick.

I’m not a conspiracy guy so I’m not presenting this like that, but I do agree with Taran that for whatever reason there was a shift in the way BB traditionally staggers comps that really helped Jackson and Holly out.

Holly gets out of DR and Jackson tells her what happened and how Cliff tried to “strong-arm” him. Holly calls it “bullshit” and tells him to mention it in his speech tomorrow (these two really think a lot gets conveyed to America solely through speeches, half of which never even air). Jackson promises he will. Holly says it was Cliff’s desperate last attempt and he’ll still vote for Jackson at the end “as a man.” It would be nice to believe that Holly is just placating Jackson while counting her own jury votes, but that’s impossible to do after the last couple of weeks. Jackson says he will not be “bullied.” He’s lost his appetite, so you know it’s serious.

Jackson: I would never threaten somebody that has busted their rear end and worked their rear end off that they will lose half a million if they don’t take me. Respect of the game, my loving rear end. That's not respecting the game.

https://twitter.com/hamsterwatch/status/1174525697395576834

Holly: If I wasn't anti-bullying before now...
There’s so much you could entangle from that.

But…
https://twitter.com/BB_Updates/status/1174525168376569858

I don't think Jackson is considering voting out Holly or anything, but part of his anger has to be at the idea that if Cliff and Nicole really are voting against him he really might lose to Holly. He keeps telling Holly how disgusted he would be if he loses (to her) too much for it not to be on his mind.

But like, there's nothing he can do about it. He's an even bigger scumbag if he votes Holly out now or at F3 so all he can do is spend a week simmering in the idea that he might lose the game to Holly. And he's clearly not ok with that.

So if nothing else Cliff might have ruined Jackson's week.

Jackson has kept it to himself long enough and is now ranting to Nicole about what Cliff did and how hosed up it was. “It really chaps my rear end.” Nicole very calmly says that its a game and she should consider Cliff’s position and how badly he wants to stay. Jackson has none of that and says he has never bullied or threatened anyone and will not stand for it! Jackson says he’s trying to keep it from getting to him. Holly agrees its all very unfair and she wishes they all just appreciated being in F4.

Holly asks Nicole to get her some coconut milk from the storage room and as soon as she gets in there she can’t contain her amusement at it anymore. She apologizes for laughing and says its mean but basically calls Jackson a massive hypocrite because all he’s done all game is threaten and strong arm people. She says he looks for any justification and rationalization to make himself a martyr and she’s sick of it.

Nicole: He’s a big baby. Its funny, its so funny.
https://twitter.com/Tooms_BB/status...535603343388680

Jackson is scratching up the pan to hell and Holly points out that it’s a new pan. Jackson doesn’t care though because they only have it for a week more.

Cliff is wandering around the house deciding where to hide Orwell. He plans to hide some playing cards and the dice for backgammon with him so the F3 are forced to find him if they want to play their games. “One last prank.” And its Cliff so he’s just walking around the house endlessly talking to the cameras like he’s been increasingly for weeks now and all this week.

Jackson is still fuming and he’s been angrily shuffling a deck of cards but he apparently sucks at it and can’t get it shuffled right.

The cameras are playing games zooming in on random stuff in the Have Not room. In the past that’s sometimes been a signal for hidden stuff but its F4, we’ve heard nothing, so its probably just bored camera men who don’t have anyone else to record.

Cliff just keeps wandering around the house talking to the cameras about the owl like a crazy person. I half expect that when he gets home he’s just going to wander around his house narrating his actions and inner thoughts to no one in particular.
https://twitter.com/powerofcheeto1/status/1174545624211042305

Nicole tells Cliff that Jackson is pissed off. Cliff, “Good. Let him be a little pissed.” She shares some of Jackson’s ranting like “how dare he dangle a carrot in front of me.” Cliff, “That’s right.” Nicole says jury management is part of the game and Cliff says he’s fine using it and if it works, great, and if it doesn’t who cares? Nicole says he’s barely holding it together but he wants to flip out. Nicole says he’s playing the martyr and he’s such a good actor.

Cliff: Boo hoo hoo. Whatever. What do I care? You’re already booting me out of here, you rear end.

Holly walks in on them and awkwardness commences. Dinner is ready. Cliff tells her some nonsense about Orwell.

Jackson gets called to the DR. Nicole spontaneously tells Holly that she doesn’t think she’s ever really given her enough credit for how straight forward she’s played the game, keeping to her word, and not “stomping around” or yelling or anything. Like some people. Holly thanks her and says she’s done her best to play as honest a game as she could, even though that’s basically impossible. Cliff agrees that even when they’ve had problems they’ve always been able to deal with it. Holly blah blahs more about how she’s tried to play the game clean and Cliff says “it’s been recognized.” Holly says everyone’s trying to win the game and there’s no right way or wrong way. Nicole says she tried to say this a few days ago and it got received poorly. Holly says she’s tried to keep her mouth shut in the game.

https://twitter.com/powerofcheeto1/status/1174557073549463554

Nicole drops the subterfuge and says Jakcson’s been telling Nicole and Cliff that he wants to go F3 for weeks and she’d respect Jackson a lot more if he was just honest and admitted that he’s always been more loyal to Holly. Nicole says she promised Jackson she wouldn’t tell her, but the other day Jackson said she’s “not fond of Holly” and its been weighing on her and she wanted to assure her she likes her a lot. Holly plays off that there’s anything to it and says she likes her too. Nicole says she was afraid to say anything because Jackson loses his cool, and Holly says they balance each other. There’s lots of happiness and jury management shared. Nicole says she’s a little frustrated and she’d like to talk it out with Jackson, but she’s worried about it being a mess. She says Jackson keeps talking about honor and his word and he’s going to see how loyal Cliff’s been to him when he gets out.

Nicole: I just want to shake Michie sometimes.
Holly: Yeah.

Orwell hates Holly.
https://twitter.com/BBADOrwell/status/1174558679686729728

Nicole just keeps praising Holly and talking about how she wants to play the game straight up and how whatever happens next week if she’s getting voted out she wants to know it and deal with it. Blah blah blah. Holly’s doing a good job of just accepting it and not saying much. The whole conversation is about what a dick Jackson’s been this week but she’s not defending Jackson and she’s not criticizing him. Then they just start going over past hgs, blindsides, game, etc. Its all a a lot of blah blah and bullshit but its like the polar opposite of jury management from Jackson.

Jackson’s back.
https://twitter.com/BBADOrwell/status/1174561212991803397

Nicole laments to Cliff that the one thing she said pre-game in interviews when people asked her about strategy was “break up the showmance” and here she is going to F3 with one. Cliff says Tommy was a threat too and they expected more mental comps, but it is what it is. They both agree they’ll be fine and its just a game but they’ll miss each other. Nicole kind of goes over her jury pitch. She says she was the cause of the first fissure for Gr8full Nicole says she told Jackson/Holly about the Nick 6 against them because she thought they were being set up to take the fall. Cliff admits he didn’t see that and she was right. Cliff says he’s been too trusting in the game but he rather go out that way and true to his character.

Jackson: I love you Nicole.
Nicole: I love you more. You’re good.
Jackson: What does that mean?
Nicole: You’re good. You are good.
Jackson: What does that mean? What does that mean?!
Nicole: You’re just good.
Jackson: How? In what way? Game, personal, explain.
Nicole: Both.
Jackson: Explain!
Nicole: Nope.
Jackson: You can’t say it the way you said it.
Nicole: We’ll talk after.

This goes on for awhile. It started very light and Jackson starts to get more tense and aggressive. Beth sits there awkwardly painting her nails. It gets tense. Jackson eventually says he understands “jury management is a thing” but that he wouldn’t hold it against anyone that they “adapted” to the game. He’s disappointed that someone would hold it against him just because he “Adapted” to the game. He’s rambling and saying “adapt” a lot.

Jackson: Opinions. Everyone’s got them.
Nicole: Yep.

Jackson’s shook.

Holly tells Jackson and Nicole about some Goodbye Message she wanted to give Nick where she says all his douchebro sayings in a quasi-offensive “street” voice for some reason. But BB wouldn’t let her because they said it wasn’t funny and no one would understand it because it was all inside jokes, so they told her to just be real. The story of Holly’s BB experience.

Jackson: Nicole, you’re one of my favorite people ever and I can’t wait for this to be over.
Nicole: I don’t understand why people say that.
Holly: I’ve never said it.

Its really awkward and tense. Jackson’s being a a mopey baby and Nicole and Holly are both desperately trying to ignore it. Well, Nicole’s kind of poking him a little. Nicole and Holly are now dancing around and singing nonsense just to cope with the awkwardness of being around Jackson. It amuses him for a minute but then he gets all mopey and passive aggressive again. They start working Poisy Ivo comp poses into their dances.

Nicole: I can’t wait to watch that back. So embarrassing.
Jackson: I pissed myself.

After like 2 weeks of being miserable and saying how sick she was Holly is positively giddy tonight. And once again testing the rule that everyone is more likable when they’re goofing around with Nicole.
https://twitter.com/BB21Tea/status/1174590978700611585

Jackson’s been shuffling that deck of cards ever since the Cliff talk. Not doing anything with them. Just shuffling them. Over and over and over… Oh wait, he’s playing a game of solitaire. I guess 3 hours of shuffling was good enough.

Jackson: I’m just not too happy.
Nicole: With the game? With the solitaire? With the me?
Jackson: Not you. Everything about this situation. I’m loving over it. I’m ready to be done.
Nicole: We’re all over it, we’re all ready to go, make your choice, and ho ho ho!

Jackson blames his cards because he’s losing at solitaire. Which is too perfect. “They won’t shuffle.” Holly and Nicole point out cards he’s missed. Its just too perfect. Jackson loses anyway. Oh please, God. Holly asks him if he wants to go to bed. No answer. Nicole goes to bed and hugs Jackson and he whines some more.

Nicole: it's a game. Make your own game decision and we all move forward.

Holly and Jackson have gone to bed but Jackson’s being a baby. “I don’t know what to do.” Excuse me? “I’m potentially making a decision that could cost me half a million dollars.” He said what? Jackson is openly debating evicting Holly TO HOLLY! He says he won’t betray her but they’re promising him a spot at F2 and threatening to turn the jury against them. Holly finds herself in the surreal position of convincing her showmance partner not to evict her and says they’re full of poo poo. Jackson says its hard when the decision is yours and Holly says any decision can cost you the game. Jackson is disappointed Cliff took it this way and “dangled” family and financial needs “and the real estate crisis of ’05 and ’08.” Whine whine whine. Holly says Cliff is getting in his head and Jackson says he’s also worried about Tommy and “things I’m doing for people other than myself.”

He’s counting jury votes against Holly TO HOLLY and blaming her for him losing them. I’ve never seen this level of narcissism. And Paulie put his showmance on the block.

Holly says she has his back and will have it after the game. She says Tommy was angrier at her then Jackson. Jackson has moved on to his hero rationalization that he’s here for his family and he’ll do anything it takes to win for them. “I have answers for every jury question.” Jackson says the only way he can lose is if they’re bitter but they all said they’d be “game voters.” Holly says she believes they will.

Jackson: I know if I’m sitting in those final 2 chairs I can get the votes. Unless I’m sitting next to Cliff.
Holly: sigh
https://twitter.com/powerofcheeto1/status/1174592756100030467

Jackson complaining about how disappointed he is in Cliff. Jackson says Cliff has used his family as a game piece. Holly says she’s recognized that from the beginning. Jackson, “The buck stops here.” He just hopes Cliff isn’t a hypocrite and votes against him.

Jackson: Not everyone likes Alabama or Nick Saban. But give credit to the guy. I’m not saying I’m Nick Saban.

Holly assures Cliff that once he gets his head clear he’ll vote for Jackson. Over Holly. Says Holly.

Cliff and Nicole are kind of unofficially saying their goodbyes. They’re glad they took the journey together and Nicole is going to fight hard to get vindication and vote Jackson out. Nicole is sorry it worked out better for her than him. Cliff says its ok, they didn’t pick one of them to win it he just fell first. Nicole kicks herself for falling 2 minutes short of the POV. Cliff says if Jackson is at the end “there’s a very good chance” he doesn’t get his vote. Cliff says he’s gonna compare notes with Tommy and they’ll get to the bottom of everything, although they clearly already know Jackson’s a giant snake.

Cliff: Nicole, I’m so glad that we’ve been working together. It’s been a pleasure.
Nicole: I wish it was longer.

Nicole repeatedly says she loves Cliff and sings a song about how Cliff is her best friend and the house is going to be “really awkward” without him.

Cliff tells the cameras he hasn’t decided if he’d vote for Jackson yet but he doesn’t owe anyone his vote. He doesn’t want to be “a bitter juror” but he thinks its “acceptable” to consider how Jackson handled things. Of course it is. Its called jury management and social game. Then he just keeps talking. He’s basically saying goodbye to his CliffNotes and saying he hoped it entertaining people “even marginally” because it helped pass the time.

Cliff: I want to sign off. I need to go to bed. But I don’t want to sign off. I don’t want this to end.

That would have been a sweet ending but he kept talking for awhile after that. Which is a more fitting end.

I have renewed hope for a happy ending. I must stop that. Hoping Cliff, Tommy, and the jury doing the good thing and breaking Jackson’s heart is doomed.

Feeds went down early today leading to speculation that the show might be getting pre-taped. Who knows? No one seems to really have an idea of whether the first leg of the F3 HOH will be tonight or on feeds or what. I don’t think Jackson and Holly were even awake.

Awww…
https://twitter.com/The_Duck_Pond/status/1174764353662439425

Lot of online griping that they feel like the F4 POV was rigged for Jackson. Besides it being dumbed down and more physical than usual, and it looking on the edit like Jackson was bad at it, Jackson said on the feeds that production kept correcting him when he read the questions wrong and would go for who “did” instead of who “did not.” And Nicole said something about production “making” her stop to drink some water. I don’t know. My stance on “rigging” is it probably happens but we’re likely to only see it as it fits our biases, and I’m definitely biased against Jackson. So I’ll just say it was fortunate for him the POV favored him as it did and nearly killed Cliff.

Either way its getting around.

This has sparked a lot of online reaction along the lines of "Why the hell would a terrible, pre-jury, terrible gameplaying boot, like Jessica Graff host the Jury Roundtable in place of Dr. Will and Derrick?"

From what I can tell Jess has a podcast and is trying to make herself a career of it so I think she's probably just going for attention and all. But CBS loved Cody and Jess so who knows? Of note I believe she's been a VOCAL Jackson supporter and anti "bitter jury" advocate.

I lied. They stayed on long enough for me to hear Jackson randomly whine that people said they threw the Slip n Slide HOH because it makes it sound like he couldn’t win straight up. He just won the first part of the F3 HOH giving him an incredible chance of F2 and winning the game and his ego is bruised that his F10 win might not have been bad rear end enough. I hate Jackson so much.

And now Jackson’s just talking about how Holly’s never been hotter than when she fought so hard to beat him, lost, and supported him in his victory. That’s pretty telling.

This is a healthy relationship dynamic. I mean, some people say its about equal partnership and helping each other reach their goals. But really getting passionate at the idea of beating each other at stuff should work the same.

After Jackson leaves Holly shows up (and Nicole doesn’t secretly loath Holly). Nicole says she feels embarrassed she did so poorly and like “that person” who gets dragged to F3. Holly says she feels exactly the same and is in the same place, which Nicole points out isn’t really true since she did well in the comp and nearly beat Jackson. There’s also the part where Holly doesn’t need to win HOH to get to F2, but mostly exactly the same place.

Holly’s been talking to Nicole for like 2 hours. I’ve just been listening in the background. Its just been rehashing game and HGs for the one millionth time but its good jury management by Holly and a stark contrast to how unwilling Nicole was to talk to Jackson. Nicole seems completely over Jackson but she routinely gives people the benefit of the doubt and seems to be taking Holly’s sudden interest sincerely. Jackson just used all that up with Nicole last week. That’s probably good for Holly’s jury count.

Feed update...

My sub is officially cancelled. Finished Twilight Zone. I liked it but it wasn't great or anything. Better use of time/subscription than the feeds though.

After Dark gave a preview of Part 2 of the HOH. Fans think it looks like a traditional physical days comp. Nicole seems better at days than Holly, but Holly's more physical than Nicole. Who knows?
https://twitter.com/cinnie_t/status/1175308182555639809

Otherwise its just Nicole staying sane in a house with a showmance while they play nice and try to jury management. Of note, Jackson has campaigned for Nicole to take him to F2 over Holly. I have no noticed Holly doing the same. My impression is Holly's doing a much better job of selling her relationship as sincere and subtly remind Nicole that Jackson's such a comp beast while Jackson is being pushy and slimy and Nicole isn't really receptive to it. But I really haven't bene watching much.

Thanks, guys. I was actually a little nervous that my acceptance/overreliance on Twitter this year might have gotten annoying with all the pages of tons of tweets that had to load. I figured it was a balance between "not wanting to just type up quotes some other person had 'reported' on or a joke someone else had made" and "wanting to provide video clips which I don't know how to do" and "not wanting the thread to be impossible to load." I had worried I had crossed the rubicon. But it helped since a lot of the season I really didn't watch myself but just followed along on my Twitter list. I think you guys can probably spot the times I was really watching when there were those kind of rambly writeups vs when I was just recapping in points from the stuff I saw on Twitter.

Either way as always I hope you enjoyed it more than it annoyed you. I'll still pay attention on Twitter but there's really nothing left except Part 2 and if Nicole wins if Jackson creates any campaigning drama.

Also want to thank STAC. Hope Nicole can pull this out and at least make us all feel like we didn't completely waste our summers following this garbage!

I do wonder what the future of this crazy show is. All of the problems the show has had since like season 16 (seasons are too long, cast is too stupid and unlikeable, unpredictable twists stifling gameplay, all of these things working together to encourage big safe majorities of cool kids) were really on display here in full force. When it was particularly bad at the beginning of the season and there was buzz that Julie's contract was up I was hopeful that they'd substantially reboot the show for season 22. But now that Julie's signed on and the season vaguely recovered from "worst ever" to "fine whatever" I feel like any "rebooting" they do for next season will just be the show flailing around with more half-baked twist ideas and maybe a cast of half returning players or whatever.

At most maybe we get some vets next season, as I think they tend to have a calming effect (BB19 excepted) as they understand the cameras catch everything and things can get bad and probabaly draw eyes from their established fans. I don't think BB really cares about the controversial stuff since it didn't make waves and they don't care about bad ratings as long as they beat the competitor. BB is what its always been, dirt cheap summer programing with a globally known brand name. And now with the Streaming+ Wars underway the feed subscribers provide a unique boost for CBS All Access as long as they keep coming. And they (me) are obsessed so they'll keep coming.

The one thing I'll miss from the feeds is that Nicole stopped giving a poo poo a week or two ago.

It was definitely better post Jury. To some extent it was so bad pre-Jury that it would be impossible not to be better, but there was genuinely more gameplay happening and drama not of the "half the house bullying some nice people" variety. I think I didn't enjoy it as much because I think a lot of it went nowhere and just ended up back where it started. There were a few moments like Christie misting Jackson and flipping the vote with Taco Tuesday but Jackson and Holly's strangehold on the HOH, Tommy, Nick, and Analyse's complete repulsion to working with anyone not in Gr8ful, and Cliff, Jess, and Kat all floating all kind of constantly left us back where we started and with what we could have predicted the week before.

Ultimately it probably comes down to your own likes and dislikes. I hated Gr8ful so the fact that the entire Jury Game was about them meant I never really was having that much fun except in the moment of the crazy. Even when one of them went home, more of them were winning. But if you didn't feel as strongly about them as I did, or even liked them, then it was probably a little more fun for you. And if you're a Jackson fan then maybe you're like Nick and Jack calling him the "G.O.A.T.!" There's probably a lot of mixed opinions like that will leave BB21 in a middle ground but not "worst ever" ranking despite probably the single worst pre-jury game ever (in a lot of ways).

Remember when they put all the brown people in a "Camp", made them wear ugly uniforms, and called a house meeting to set a rule that no one could talk to them. That was unpleasant.

Yeah I couldn't stand Grateful at all. Especially Jack. But I at least felt that once Analyse and Jack left they were decidedly less toxic. I think my biggest frustration this whole season was the failing of the minority (non-Grateful people) to coalesce with each other and actually get something going. I always think about the Exterminators realizing where they were and even though I hated Spencer and GinaMarie the fact that those 4 came together to do something about their position is what I love about BB. This season nobody could get anything going until it was too late.

mancalamania

I think you guys might be overselling the predictability of the season. If you told me after the anti-Nicole mob in the HoH room that in just a few weeks Jackson and Holly would team up with Cliff and Nicole and would pick off the rest of the house with relative ease I would have thought you were crazy. It's exactly the kind of unlikely alliance we like to see on these shows and it only feels a little hollow because Jackson/Holly did ~80% of the work and Jackson is such an rear end.

I do think, moreso than most seasons, the winner will really color how we view the season as a whole. If Jackson or Holly win then it feels much more like STAC painted it, a windy and indirect road that lead us right back where we started as the unlikeable jerks pull it together at the end after all. But if Nicole wins I do think people will look back on the season and see the exciting underdog story and marvel at how a seemingly unstoppable 9-person alliance lost the game by being so toxic they couldn't stand each other. There's a nice story there even if it meant that we had to watch way too much of that toxic group for 3 straight months.

(I actually think it's a bit unfair for the season's legacy if Jackson/Holly win and we remember the season as predictable-- it's easy to say Jackson/Holly were frontrunners the whole game, but it always felt to me that Jack/Christie/Tommy were the frontrunners until Day 44. So even the predictable disappointing ending is still a little bit more unpredictable than it might get credit for.)

That's all folks.

Silver linings?

Nicole didn't really have a huge chance of winning anyway and finishing 3rd should cut out any "Final 2" complications about her winning America's Favorite Player. And that should annoy Gr8ful before they learn how hated they are.

And maybe Jackson being a slimeball and unnecessarily campaigning against Holly the last day or so further pushes Nicole to vote for Holly. I think its a long shot but more likely than Nicole winning. But Nicole seemed pretty genuinely angry about Jackson's behavior and respect of Holly's (or what she knew of it). Maybe Cliff will follow through on his threats. Maybe Jess follows through on Jackson's "she hates men" stuff. Maybe Tommy holds a grudge for the lie. Maybe Kat votes for her "friend" over the douchebag who mistreated her. That's 5 votes that seem plausible. Maybe Ana goes for her "friend" too? Maybe Christie sees an opportunity to stick it to Jackson? Besides Jack and Nick the votes seem plausibly open so maybe Jackson gets his "worst nightmare" and loses to a woman he claims to love.
