I've got say I hated basically everything about the trial scene.

I don't even care whether it was realistic or not, it was nails on a chalkboard to listen irregardless and not enjoyable television.

There was something genuinely funny about that lawyer pulling out Microsoft Stumble Simulator and trying to argue that in 100% of cases Perry wouldn’t fall like he did.

Like just, aaaaaagh. What was that.

Wonder how much ragdoll physics 2006 cost. Also Celestes lawyer is awful and the prosecutions whole case is she "banged some dudes"

Apparently mothers are not allowed to have a sex life in puritan 'wherever the show takes place'.

Is "contacting all the good lawyers" a real thing or just a tv trope?

Badly need an answer to this. And also, accounting for the fact that Celeste is rich as gently caress, did Streep contact literally every custody lawyer in California?

I don't understand why they went in this direction.

In practice it usually isn’t that hard since there usually only a handful of attorneys in a specific practice area that are considered the best.

I would buy that if California didn't have a population of almost 40 million. There's got to be literally thousands of top of their field custody lawyers.

I feel like the writers could have avoided all of this if they'd established literally any grey area. Then there would be no need for hooky gimmicks to make it believable that Streeps character stand any chance.

The "you let your children stay in your house while my son beat you so I should have your children" argument sure was something else.

Strong TV movement. So glad we got this cash grab season. Who needs good ideas and a strong script when you can have star power and hype.

I feel like Euphoria has just been in free-fall for the last few episodes but different strokes I suppose.

Definitely still way ahead of whatever this season was though.

We're two weeks out from a new season of succession so all euphoria has to be is "not boring" for two episodes.

Succession is getting a second season? :swoon:

Sweden.

On the promotions they do here you'd think HBO has no other shows than GoT.
