Looks like someone has been able to dump the SD3 ROM from the new collection. None of the existing IPS patches (hardtype/bug fix patch etc) work on it.

Healing magic is overrated. Just buy a bunch of Poto Oils from the Black Market for partywide Heal Light. Item use is faster than spellcasting anyway. Have the character with the highest Spirit/Piety be your Poto Oil thrower.

duran has holy saber, a good level 3 CS, and single target healing light

riesz has permanent party stat buffs (starlancer's passive in this game makes her buffs last until the end an encounter or until dispelled/overwritten) and of course starlancer's aoe silence summon

If you have some way of directly accessing saves on your Switch, you can transfer Switch <-> PC. PS4 saves are encrypted, but would otherwise work the same way.

There's 1 in every city and some dungeons have 2. Eventually you unlock a cactus ability that shows you all chest locations on the map and how many cacti are in a zone

I grabbed 6 ??? Seeds before planting any of them. For me, each gave a unique class item, 2 for each character/1 for each branch, when planted at once. There is 1 guaranteed static chest in each of the Benevodon dungeons that contains a ??? Seed so you can get 6 without relying for monster drops. I ran through those dungeons without fighting anything until I found enough of those chests then magic roped out to class change everyone at once. It helps to have Lil Cactus leveled up far enough to be able to spot treasure chests on your minimap and having increased escape times.

I had the same issue, got lucky with Nightblade item as my first then 3 paladin items in a row. The ??? seed drop rate really picked up after benevodon #4 and suddenly I had an excess of all of them. Not sure if it was from level, seed box level or just the natural progression.

LD/Starlancer
LD/Liege

This is same team I ran and it was way more synergistic than I would have imagined thanks to the new chain abilities. Starlancer and Liege's CS3s were on the weaker side though.

Hawk was crit focused to enable this Nightblade passive


which is helped by a Riesz base class chain ability


and Valkyrie Riesz's chain ability


and Liege Duran's chain ability


and general purpose


when Hawk so much as breathed on someone they would get afflicted with a stat down without any menuing then the damage would escalate.

Duran heals the party for 600 (1200 if his Liege passive procced) at 4MP a cast and had Tinkle Rain to cleanse ailments.

There is a post credits scene then it asks you to make a new completed game save. When you load the save, it takes you to before the final boss with the postgame quest unlocked.

(Brutal/Hurt Me Faerie) Difficulty or PC modding wishlist:
  • Turn all Gold Statues into normal ones/remove the healing.
  • Give enemies (bosses especially) at least 3x more HP. Bosses die before getting their entire moveset out. The Benevodons are a joke once you hit the Class 3 power spike. I don't want to reduce player damage output because big numbers are fun.
  • Make red/iframeable attacks come out quicker and make them inflict more status ailments like Silence.
  • Readjust the equipment distribution once the twin cat merchants come into play. There was always a cheaper/weaker weapon available when their shop list refreshed for some reason, but why would anyone ever go for that one when the stronger one is only a bit more gold. Space out the availability of upgrades. Make equipment sell back for less to force more of a gold commitment.
  • Swap the 2x and 3x EXP bonuses from Lil Cactus for something else. Reduce/halve boss clear EXP. The chain ability you get for completing the entire board is OP along with most of the character story completion ones.

Angela - I don't have enough experience with Angela in the remake, but she should be fine in any path.
Duran - LL/Paladin - Light Duran's level 2 and level 3 class strikes are underwhelming due to being single target except for Paladin's CS3, which hits a big area. Light Class 4's CS4 is single target though.
Riesz - LD/Starlancer - Perma buffs are too good and better than perma debuffs via Fenrir Knight. Summons are underwhelming (too little damage for the cast time/MP cost). Riesz's CS1 is the best in the game because the vacuum effect interrupts enemy skill/spell channeling. Light Class 4's CS4 is a massive aoe.

After you beat at least 1 Benevodon, 2 not-Niccolo merchants show up right outside each Benevodon dungeon. They sell the equipment leading into the endgame.
