Why is buying a house even on the radar right now? Unless I'm missing something or the housing market where you live is incredibly cheap, you have almost $70k in debt and no savings. If you're going to put any money towards savings, at least stick it into an emergency fund, because $500 isn't going to go far. If you can stick to paying off $5k of debt a month, that's great, and I really hope you can, but right now this thread is giving me palpitations.
