It might be a good idea to split the various paths up between different LPers, since different approaches can help with the relative sameness of each Part 1 before the paths diverge in Part 2. Plus you don't have to LP all of such a massive game.

Honest question: How does that compare to Breath Of The Wild and Octopath Traveler?

I'd wager the work I've done for Octopath would be roughly between one and two routes for Three Houses. There's so many different ways to try to handle things too, like do you use New Game + to carry over Professor Level? Do you try to recruit all the students, none of them, or let the thread choose specific ones? Who do you want to try to pair up for endings, which will be a pain to micromanage in itself? How do you choose between Explore and Battle for each week, and how do you approach the second half when there's not as much to do?

That'd be the beauty of having multiple LPers though. Much less work to do just one route, everyone can do things in different ways so everyone gets a good idea of what all you can do. Of course, this can be a logistical challenge too, especially if everyone's crazy enough to keep it in one thread.

I'd be tempted if I weren't just finishing a massive LP myself and needed a good break. Good luck to whoever attempts all this!

I am deeply saddened the MDC aren't around anymore to LP this game.

Not entirely sure what I'm looking for, but this might just be the thread to ask for it...

I'm forever imprisoned in home office. Long-running LPs are just perfect on the side. Anybody know of something decently competent, preferably with a group of people, who tend to make fun of whatever goofy stuff they encounter? I'm thinking of something like the classic Persona 4 Endurance run from Giant Bomb. Doesn't have to be JRPGs, it just kinda feels like anime stuff is especially easy to make fun of.

Anything by wateyad and Pork Lift. Star Ocean 4 in particular was an experience, and I enjoyed what I saw of their LPs of FF13 and The Last Story.

No need to reserve games, and it's no big deal if a game's been LPed before.

Someone should do a fantasy football LP, go into the nitty-gritty and also invite LP people into a league and go into the details of just what fantasy football entails.

There are in-game options to censor genitals and breasts, for the record. If you need to see V hang dong you can always follow a LP on Pornhub if you don't mind the O-facecam.

I'm going to request games I kinda want to LP so I don't actually have to LP them.

Crystal Project - A combination of a voxel open-world platformer meets FF5-style JRPG with job system. Really solid battle system with almost-perfect information with a variety of FF-inspired jobs scattered in a rather nonlinear open world.

Phoentopia: Awakening - One of my absolute favorite games that has slid far below the radar. It's basically a spiritual successor to Zelda 2, with tons of secrets and puzzles and other content among a charming cast of characters and decent story. I really love this game and hope someone can really do it justice.

Pokemon Infinite Fusion - This should be an easy one for anyone who wants to break into LPing. RPG Maker engine Pokemon game with a really cool gimmick of fusing two Pokemon together. Tons of potential for thread participation, and the custom sprites alone will get plenty of attention. I really recommend this if you want to start out as an LPer as it's an easy way to get attention between being a Pokemon game and the various sprites, and as a bonus the fusions are diverse enough that multiple people could get away with LPing this game at once.

Thanks for making me aware of this, this game looks amazing. My LP-creating days are likely over, but at least I have a new game for my wishlist!

Happy to make the suggestion just for this, if nothing else! My vote for most underrated game of this gen. Hell knows I've praised this game endlessly in the Switch thread.

oh my god

quote:

Nudity includes story scenes with breasts, buttocks and genitalia.

Gore includes story scenes where characters end up with multiple bloody wounds, blades going through characters with noticeable wounds, characters exploding in large bloodsprays (only blood), characters getting decapitated, a character having a large open slash wound, a character gets their head caved in and a character is missing their hand in the form an open recent wound. Outside of story scenes, one character can learn abilities potentially through character customization to decapitate or explode enemies in large bloodsprays in combat.

Violence and blood are present throughout the in-game combat and story scenes. Some bloodsprays from certain story scenes, certain combat effects and getting hit by cars in combat contain more blood in their bloodsprays than most normal combat/scenes.

Strong language is used throughout Story Mode, and includes cursing, violent/dark themes and sexual themes. Outside of Story Mode, one Artifact in Heist Mode references pornography, but nothing is seen.

Saw a tweet that the mobile FF Dissidia game, Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, is going to shut down on February 29, 2024. This is probably unrealistic, especially with just three months left, but it'd be a shame to leave a bonkers massive crossover RPG to be forgotten to time, so I'm gonna request a LP of this game. I don't know how the game really works, but I'd guess recording as much of the story as possible in the next three months, and then posting everything. Also I don't expect anyone to actually spend money on this, please don't spend money on a dead game walking.
