v. cool. i've never done rendering or modeling or anything beyond photoshop editing, is blender a good place to start for making weird gifs etc?

it doesn't hold your hand much but certainly lets you do whatever the gently caress you want

i'd be doing science-y model stuff, using output from python scripts. learning curve is fine but tbh i'll need some incremental gratification
