like any other kind of poisoning or failure in food processing, i have no preconceptions about but that one a single instance of it would destroy the food production of an entire region/country and make powerful groups not like whoever caused it so taking it seriously from the perspective of a company would be like installing locks on every entrance of a property: yeah they'd cut that corner too to save money, but they'll know it will end them so that's the last place they'll remove safeguards i can still see it happening by chance tho once everything degrades to where nobody at a meat plant knows what a prion disease even is
