Qanon is a pretty clever way of entertaining all the conspiracy nuts who don't usually bother to vote but all came out for Trump in 2016. All the evidence points to it being just a generic 4chan hoax until it got hijacked by the Watkins family when it moved to 8chan, a website that allows child porn on "free speech" grounds and was started by a guy who made his fortune running a porn website in the Philippines for content that was illegal in Japan. It definitely got spun up into an actual psyop when Bannon and Stone got involved around the time Epstein was killed.

Ace of Baes posted:qanon grew out of pizzagate which was like a super obvious psyop to smoke and mirrors all the insane poo poo in those emails, about the podesta's, which led people to looking into Epstein and Clinton etc. I don't know if the leaked emails were part of a limited hangout or not but pizzagate as a 'movement' was very obviously a psyop of some kind meant to taint the well that later grew into qanon, I think it's highly effective too, you can't really talk to normal liberals about this stuff in depth without sounding like a million other cranks If you spent too much time on 4chan growing up pizzagate has all the hallmarks of a 4chan troll, but yeah a lot of people jumped in on it because it was useful.

Our government saw fit to set up an official channel for a foreign government to bribe your local congressman because what the gently caress are you going to do about it. I was under the impression Epstein was CIA but I don't remember why.
