Not filled, no, but you can find good deals if you are thorough, and if you are decent at negotiating you can sometimes improve them.

yeah like really where gun shows are a better deal than just buying online is when someone's just trying to unload old stock and not have to worry about shipping costs.

For the most part. A lot of stores got desperate because sales dropped after escalators. The prices tend to be a lot higher in a store and very flexible at a show. Also have your local police check the serial numbers of whatever you buy so you don't get stuck with a crime gun.

E: cut off. You won't find popular or collector stuff much cheaper.

Always remember that the former President was dumber than the dumbest person you've ever met by a wide margin

Just discovered that my mom and dad owned a second house for the last ~10 years after my grandma passed away and let people live in it for free the entire time. No rent charged, people just had to cover their own utilities. It's in a neighborhood without much affordable housing and it seems like they helped a lot of people get back on their feet after losing their jobs, or moving across country for family, or losing a spouse or family member.

I only found out because my parents can't keep up maintenance any more and want to sell it to the current tenant for about 1/10th of its market value and wanted my help cleaning the place up a bit and moving out their lawnmower and snowblower.

This really warmed my heart.

the main “advantage” of gun shows is that a dude shows up with hundreds of guns to sell, and if you buy from him it will be counted as a personal sale and not subject to background checks, as long as he isn’t “a company” but just a dude personally selling you one of his hundreds of personal guns

e:to clarify I think this is a bad thing

Pretty sure they don't have access to NCIC so you will still want some police to run it and make sure its not a crime gun. I don't think a NICS check does the same thing.

I mean, the real good orgs to mention are specific, like the Pink Pistols or the Socialist Rifle Association or most famously, the Black Panthers.

Personally I believe that nobody should own guns, because private property is theft ect ect but socialist gun shooting ranges well stocked with all the fun guns, lots of ammunition, targets, community competitions, and lots of instructors and safety personnel would be great. I personally don't believe violence is a viable way to FAGSLC, and I really doubt owning a gun as a person of color or queer person is going to do you any good against cops nor their nazi queerphobe drinking buddies.

im pretty sure your joking but much like many other tools its only when you own more than one and rent out or trade the extras that a firearm can be meaningfully described as private property. its like how a toothbrush is definitely just personal property until you own a warehouse full of them

Guns should not be personal property. A toothbrush should be. You don't share a toothbrush because it's gross and unhygienic without some industrial grade sterilization and cleaning between use - which would be a waste of resources for little gain. You can pull the same dangling penis trigger of the gun at the shooting arcade as other people. We have hand wipes. It will still work.

In my ideal world you don't need to own more than a small rucksack with a toothbrush, meds and toiletries, toolkit, laptop, data storage, and maybe a first aid kit. Every else could be meaningfully shared.

Somebody else slept in that hotel room last night and it was fine, we have housekeepers. If you want to put in the labor to get it set up by your community you can have a personal property house, or put in less and get a permanent apartment in exchange for chores and/or community service.

And then go out to your nearest shooting range, do some chores and work for the range, and then shoot some guns for a while afterwards. We only think we need a lot of rarely utilized personal property is because the need to consume privately goes in so deep so early, Trying to get out of it even in the things we love is good praxis.

anyway private property specifically refers to land and means of production. you can argue about whether guns should be owned individually or collectively but they're not private property specifically in the way an apartment complex or a shipment of iron stock is

Any society that requires a militia to be maintained, rather than an unarmed, social worker controlled, psychologically screened police force, is not communist nor is it revolutionary, and only a fool thinks sufficiently beyond capitalism. If you're still thinking guns rather than hugs you're gonna become an appreciator of military hardware and snappy uniforms and a certain mass murderer.

For the record, I think landlords are still human and should be rehabilitated and reintegrated into society nonviolently. Also I cum when I pay them.

on topic: my sister married a cop and now due to some legal bullshit with his ex and their daughter, he and my sister have moved out of the house they bought to raise their kid in and bought a different house with the aim of renting out the old one for the cost of the mortgage. all the other poo poo aside, that last part is the stickiest part to me because its such a no-brainer thing to do from the perspective of "owning" the property, but having another family buy your second house for you is also peak scuzz. i dunno about my brother in law, but my sister would be completely unmoved if i pointed this out to her because with everything else she has to deal with she doesn't give two shits about the plight of another family, or the fact that she is personally exploiting them.

even a fully successful communist society will need guns and an army for a very long time, unless everyone in the world goes communist simultaneously, to defend themselves against capitalists and wreckers. see: the entire history of the world trying to destroy the USSR (I know, not a true communist country)

of course this is all irrelevant because we will all be dead from climate disaster far before any of this will occur
