Rapinoe plays in Seattle, thanks for the cruel reminder. Portland has Tobin Heath, Lindsay Horan, Emily Sonnet and AD Franch who played for the USWNT. Christine Sinclair played for Canada and is few goals shy of Wambach's all time international record. Ellie Carpenter and Steph Catley played for Australia. Andressinha played for Brazil. All but the US players have returned (but did not play well against Seattle last week). While they international players were gone Midge Purce and Simone Charley held it down and the Thorns did pretty well in June. Nobody expects US National Team players tomorrow.

Since I (help) run the Riveters merch sales w/ one of my best friends for Thorns games we usually leave a couple of minutes before the end of the game so we can up and running by the time people are out of the stadium. Yesterday we left around the 86th minute when it was 3-2 Portland. We got into the Fanladen and started setting things up. My friend turned on the computer and got the TV up and running the stream so we could get post game stuff. Right as she turned it on Lussi is running towards the corner after scoring the last minute stoppage time goal. Then for the next hour as I sold merch people kept asking me "how about that Lussi goal though?"

Midge Purce is the Supporters Player of the year in Portland. She was instrumental to the Thorn's success during the world cup with 9 players in France and I am glad she was recognized for that

Of the attacking players that are no longer players, Purce is the only one that really contributed on a regular basis. Foord & Crnogorcevic never really figured out how to put the ball in the net. Though, it sounds like Raso is off to Everton so that'll sting a bit.
