I remember first consciously hearing that one in the video game Jagged Alliance 2.

That film was already ruined by that loving kid's entirely original incessant shrieking.

1. The death sound boars make in WoW is the dying cry of animals/monsters in lots of games. There are lots of stock sounds here and there but that one is in my brain forever.
2. The grunting/snorting sound mutated animals made in Tiberean Sun.
3. Security Alert alarms.
4. Various door sounds, the ones in Morrowind come up a lot.
5. Movies using bleep bloop Atari sounds for videogames well into the 2000s.
6. Those handful of explosion.wav sounds that get used a lot in cheap crap.
7. That fake as gently caress glass shattering sound.

If you ever played Diablo 2 - you heard this sound a lot (Town portal sound).

My hatred has a name, thank you Squish. Every goddam time something catches fire. Every goddam time magic happens. I used to get so mad at this loving piece of poo poo that I'd just stand up and walk away from the TV and take a minute to calm down.

I'm better now, mostly because I haven't heard that stupid thing for a long time. I guess I'm watching fewer movies with dramatic puddles of gas in them.

And yeah, any scene where a blade makes over-the-top scraping sounds and/or a gun makes stupid metal-parts sounds for no reason at all.

I was watching simpsons at 0.75 without knowing until a scene where homer and bart were getting back massages at a hotel and the noises they were making were super drawn out like a youtube poop
That sound bite of a lady cop saying something like "mayday seven one twentygarblednumbers".

You know it. It's on Sim City 3000 and like, shows.

There's a clip of a baby giggling and a clip of a baby crying that get used in every goddamn show and movie ever. I'm not having any luck finding them right now though.

Also in Stranger Things season 3 they use the pump shotgun noise while a guy brandishes a double-barrelled shotgun, but it's 50/50 on that just being a joke because it's so obvious. That sound clip certainly gets used unironically in enough places; I've definitely heard it dubbed over a character working a bolt-action rifle.

The stock sounds of horses neighing in obvious distress, used when horses are stationary and calm. :wtc: Horses make a wide assortment of snorts, grunts, and quieter neighs when they're less agitated, don't need to use an ear-splitting neigh in every context.

Aliens used a bunch of what must have been British stock sounds for sliding doors and machinery working, because they also appeared in lots of old UK TV shows and the older Bond movies.

There's a funny one in the bad David Caruso thriller Jade where at the start of the big car chase someone shouts "Hey, you rear end in a top hat!", then a couple of minutes later the exact same clip is used again (halfway across San Francisco).
