First named death is Naomi Ishida. Apart from the obvious personal tragedy, she's a huge artistic loss for the studio - she was one of their top colour designers, and did the palettes for Haruhi, Amagi, Hyouka, A Silent Voice, and Liz and the Blue Bird.

Unfortunately, Yasuhiro Takemoto is one of them.

Other casualties include Futoshi Nishiya (character designer and chief animation director of Free, also did character design for Hyouka, Nichijou, A Silent Voice, and Liz and the Blue Bird), Yoshiji Kigami (director of Baja no Studio, key animator on Grave of the Fireflies and Akira) and Ami Kuriki (key animator for basically every recent KyoAni production).
