Let’s see, what awful isekai have I seen? - fat elf isekai - shouting at people until they pee isekai - farm life and also impregnate everyone isekai (this one came on recommendation too) - eat everything and sexual harassment isekai That’s about it. I tend to not even touch the stuff that looks gross, so I wouldn’t know anything about it unless it looked relatively normal on the outside. Did the shield hero anime clean up the misogyny and slavery fetish any? I was talking to a friend of a friend and she thought Shield Hero anime was amazing and had no objections to the content. I don’t really want to watch it to find out (and I don’t actually remember the comic outside of reading enough yikes to stop reading). I’m assuming she just didn’t think about it too hard though and it’s still very bad.

The anime tries really hard to make Naofumi a sympathetic character, and they added a running gag where Rahptalia has a crush on him and he doesn't realize it. It's actually way toned down compared to the light novel, but so is the manga.

I gave a recent release The Swordsman called the Countless Swords Sorcerer a try, and mostly I liked that the author thought slavery wasnt bad enough so they invented Slavery 2: Electric Boogaloo a.k.a. Object Humans. For slaves, if you beat them up, people will frown at you and the law gets involved if you kill them. Object Humans, on the other hand, is anything goes, no questions asked.

Solo Levelling/I Alone Level-up was a really good manhua with some great art so I went on to the actual novel version after I caught up on the available chapters and it was a very enjoyable read even if it kinda goes a little crazy toward the end (but the kinda crazy I still want to see drawn).

Since pervy stuff is now kosher The World of Moral Reversal is an infrequent but interesting isekai. A highschool girl by the name of Ichikawa swaps bodies with her parallel reality counterpart in a world where gender roles have been switched which leads to some interesting scenarios as she comes to terms with the new place she's living. Unfortunately for her, her friends have now turned into the equivalent of horndog highschool boys and she is the straight man of the trio just trying to not get drawn into their conversations about porn mags and how to get boys to pay attention to them. Some difference in the world are  Action movies are much different since the framing and direction account for a different gaze.  Victoria's Secret is now Victor's Secret Ichikawa comes to a shocking revelation in a world where morals have been reversed  But she discovers a love for deep sea fishing since it removes her from her horny friends and the general weirdness of some things.

World Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country and Dungeon Seekers is an interesting isekai where the MC himself is OK but not amazing but becomes OP as hell when combined with his party members. It's entertaining so far but only has ten chapters out. There is a thing going on where people who get killed turn into demi-humans who just do what they're told, but instead of being slaves or anything like that they're treated like mercenaries or hirelings. Dunno if that would rub people the wrong way.

I recently saw this one, which I'll call gun nerd isekai, and it's perfect for this thread. It has everything basically. Gun fetishization, slavery (the MC gets enslaved even!!!!! aw yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss), oppai, and a harem. This series looks like the main characters "power" is having subordinates although the first few are missing from Mangadex so I'm just looking at the more recent ones.
