What happens to bonus payments for winning the Meistershaft/not getting relegated/getting X number of points/scoring Y number of goals/etc.? Not that the players can't afford to lose that money, but I'm still curious.Healbot posted:Joke's on you, Bayern is still Meister. Any particular candidates? Isn't Werder even more in debt than most other Bundesliga clubs?

Der Nürnberger Nürnberger schoss zwei Tore. They should be forced to sell him for that reason alone.

What is there to post about? Bayern will win the domestic titles again, the usual suspects will fight for the CL and EL places, and Hamburg will fail to get promoted again. And football without spectators is not as exciting as it is with fans in the stands. I guess there's Metzelder liking child porn, but nobody bothered to post about it in here, so...

I don't know whether things will improve. We're on just 10 pages this thread, and the season is long over. Like 60% of the season got finished before Corona, yet it didn't generate a lot of posts. And iirc, Bayern didn't look like the 100% sure title winners until a bit into the season, but there were still not a lot of posts. How will things get better? Corona will still negatively impact the matches, even if perhaps a few thousand fans can attend then. Bayern look even stronger than last season, and solidified their financial lead over the competition by winning the triple. I don't see how the Bundesliga could become less boring next season.

Just rename the thread into Bundesliga Megathread or whatever, no need to a yearly thread if we can't fill more than 10 pages a year.

Okay, I chuckled. Edit: Unrelated, Metzelder confessed being a sex pest. Torrannor fucked around with this message at 12:34 on Apr 29, 2021 |

Okay, Bayern didn't win the Pokal, and I'm not sure Wolfsburg would have been my pick for the CL places alongside Bayern, Leipzig, and Dortmund. But otherwise, the season pretty much went as predicted, and it's likely that next season won't be different, either. At our posting rate, we'll probably need a new thread in about ten years.

How do you go "hmm, I'm making good money, let's counterfeit my Impfpass so that I can throw all of that away"? Football news have been really strange lately.

Surely the "biggest" left is Leipzig?

I haven't been following the Bundesliga for some time, but I was driving on Saturday, and was listening to the last minutes of Gladbach - Hertha in the radio. The commentator said that this was likely the last match for Hertha manager... Tayfun Korkut??? Why are any 1. Bundesliga clubs still hiring that clown? I did a legit lol. Now Hertha have announced Tayfun's successor. And I think there's only one thing that can be said about that: frankenfreak posted:Lol Hertha, just lmao

Unless a miracle happens, HSV will miss the Aufstieg again, and I'm so, so shocked. While the other Blau-Weissen will likely manage to return to the Bundesliga after one season in the second league.

Eric Cantonese posted:Why do people not like Hertha Berlin? (My sister's husband's family has a some Hertha fans in it.) Why would people like Hertha when they could like the infinitely more likeable Union Berlin instead. And no, you can like either one or the other, you can't like both. Anyway, HSV not getting promoted again, what a shocker.

Nothing would make me more happy than Union Berlin winning the Meisterschaft. But Bayern will get to the top with in the second half of the season at the very latest.

I was talking to my father about football, and I mentioned that Hamburg was in third place, and that I very much look forward to them losing their promotion game again. I genuinely think it's more fun that way, so I hope they improve one place! Fake-edit: At least they've stabilized as a second league team, in contrast to Schalke who might just go down even further.

HSV are absolutely going to end up in third place and miss promotion once, again, Monday's actions only solidify this. It's great.
