Hoyer should never be a full time starter again but I think he's probably one of the few capable backups in the league.

Yeah, more than just being a physically capable QB he has the important backup qualification of being able to see and recognize things to help the starter prepare. Losing Luck was a blow because of his elite play, but he was also really really smart about football and obsessed with studying tape, so it's important to get someone with a veteran knowledge level in the room with Jacoby to help him as much as possible.

Also lol at goons being amazed at a backup QB getting $4mil a year.

physically capable c'mon he's drew stanton at this point. from a contract standpoint it's fine, 3 years is probably too long and 2 years is probably not what he wanted, and you can't give a guy a 2.5 year contract and it's peanuts in the great scheme of the colts cap hits so whatever. they should sign a guy to play when brisket gets hurt though.

They didn't cut Chad Kelly if Brisset can make it through 2 or 4 games or whatever his suspension is.

I just really want Chad Kelly announced as starting an NFL game and going out the night before said game to celebrate and getting arrested for something stupid, is that so much to ask?

But they're usually real bad, it's a hilarious blind spot in their drafting.

Makes sense to me, you get a veteran thumper who can play special teams. Crawford was a disaster this preseason, so at least now the Packers have a guy they can throw in once in a while. He’s more of a backup to Blake and a goal line type dude. Greene is more of Burks fill in.

"Name a college quarterback who goes into the gameplan meetings on Monday and throws his notes at the coaches. No one else game plans the way I do. No one else prepares the way I do. No one else knows football the way I do. No one else is as big as I am. No one else is as powerful a runner as I am. Pat Mahomes might throw the ball 80 yards and I can only throw the ball 72, but I guarantee he can't throw an out route the way I can. No one else can do what I can do. And I've truly figured out in this process, if I can maximize all my potential in every aspect of the game – this is bold – I do have the ability to be the greatest quarterback to ever play. Imagine taking Brady's intellect and Brady's preparation and putting it on a guy with Cam Newton's body. Why can't I be the greatest? The only thing stopping me from it is me. That's what's driving me now."

When he says that Mahomes cant throw an out route like him does he mean Mahomes doesnt accidentally almost throw it into the stands?

I mean Mahomes might throw it into the stands as well but that would be with a receiver desperately clinging onto it.

Certainly Flores is the last former Patriots coach to be hired as a HC. Surely the rest of the NFL realizes how toxic that tree is. It's... Like, beyond statistically impossible for a successful coach to have such a rotten coach tree.
