8chan is offline Controversial internet message board 8chan went offline Monday after internet infrastructure company Cloudflare stopped providing support for the website used by the suspected gunman in El Paso to post a hate-filled screed. "We just sent notice that we are terminating 8chan as a customer effective at midnight tonight Pacific Time. The rationale is simple: they have proven themselves to be lawless and that lawlessness has caused multiple tragic deaths. Even if 8chan may not have violated the letter of the law in refusing to moderate their hate-filled community, they have created an environment that revels in violating its spirit," Matthew Prince, Cloudflare CEO wrote in a blog post. The announcement was an about-face after Cloudflare told CNN earlier Sunday that it had no plans to stop providing its services to 8chan. The company had said it has been in contact with law enforcement about Saturday's mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, where the suspect is believed to have posted what police describe as a manifesto on 8chan minutes before the attack. People accused of a synagogue shooting in Poway, California, and shootings at two mosques in New Zealand also reportedly announced their plans on 8chan. "We continue to feel incredibly uncomfortable about playing the role of content arbiter and do not plan to exercise it often," Prince said in the post.

super german last name but its because my great grandfather fled the amish country i work with computers now. i hope he's proud. also polish but hey thats connecticut. great grandma fled poland because hitler was uppity. moms side is irish. great grandfather oh her side was supposedly connected to the irish mob and is treated as a saint by her side of the family (her included). he has a park named after him. i was the only kid out of all my friends growing up without any italian heritage. everyone was fuckin italian here.

p. much after roseanne got the boot i was pretty angry with her, then angry at myself bc she's talked openly about her schizophrenia before, it its like of course she went nuts on twitter. https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/roseanne-personalities-tough/story?id=103650 was the closest, Esquire did an interview w/ her in 2001 about it, just had to make sure it wasnt something i attributes to her mistakenly. my family grew up watching the old show together, and I still love it. Simpsons was the same way- my parents were big fans of the tracy ullman show, and we watched it as a family. i remembered growing up that there were tons of kids not allowed to watch the simpsons, and always felt cool that I was allowed to, and had a Bart-Man poster on my wall. my parents were massive letterman fans too, so Mike Judge got a pass when Beavis and Butt-Head were controversial too. only show my mom had issues with was ren and stimpy, weirdly enough. then again john k turned out to be a pedophile too so yeah gently caress everything but yeah idk how the heck im gonna feel if im gonna have to do with the simpsons what i've already had to do with roseanne and of course teenage girls got raped by billionaires which makes me feel lovely for caring about any of that stuff so yeah gently caress 2019 Nostalgia4Butts fucked around with this message at 08:49 on Aug 11, 2019 |
