"This is a bit of a... a poof song"
Saw them in London last night. Absolutely awesome. I'm super impressed at how good Maynard sounds, even if there's some obvious effects involved to help with some of the tougher moments.

They definitely focused too much on FI stuff, which while very good just lacks the punch of any of their pre-10,000 Days material.

Highlights were double whammy of Sober followed by Undertow, as well as a nice happy birthday moment for Danny.

Looked at the playlist. Surprised that the hits like Stinkfist and Parabola weren't played. A bit too much from the new album but my friend went to the show and said it was amazing.

I mean, it is the Fear Inoculum tour so it makes sense they’d be leaning on that material over everything else.

They sounded amazing at Power Trip on Sunday. I haven't seen them since 2007.

I personally really enjoy hearing the FI stuff. "Pneuma" especially. And it was awesome getting "Swamp Song."

YO SOY FIESTA

I have tickets for CT on Nov 10, but now they're gonna play in Baltimore (I'm in MD). Do I empty my pockets to see a second show on this tour? I saw them on their last tour in Boston and they were phenomenal.

Rosetta Stoned for sure out of the "new" stuff. They played Pushit last time I saw them and that was amazing. I guess Flood or Eulogy out of the "old."

I wonder if, for a band like Tool that has such a small catalogue, the majority of which is over 20+ years old, if live performance feels more like putting on a Broadway play every night for decades. How many times has this band played Stinkfist live at this point? 10,000,000? I'm surprised that playing these songs over and over doesn't get so old that they're motivated to write more music (my fervent wish for them).

"We've got many ideas cooking. We haven't recorded anything yet. But we're quite busy until — I guess until after the spring of next year touring. So once that's done, we're gonna get back in the studio and knuckle down and put some of it together. We've already had a few pretty decent sessions of writing. So we've got the ingredients in place. We've just gotta really bang it out and spend that time when we're not touring."

I saw the show last night in Boston and it was amazing. Primus is talented AF but they're just so gross. I loved it!

I still have 2 seats to sell for the Raleigh show next week.

Pity bump, but I still have 2 tickets to see the show in Raleigh. We made an oops and bought tickets before realizing I would be out of town. We sold 2 already, but are willing to make you a good deal instead of paying Ticketmaster any more money.

Exquisite Corpse
The rest of Tool came out for the finale of the Sessanta show tonight at the Hollywood Bowl to play Aenima for the second to last song.

I actually liked the format of this show a lot, 3 songs by one band then another comes on, no long breaks while one band has to change out their gear for another's.

Vinyl sold out before I could get one, anyone know if they're selling the EPPP anywhere else or is it tour only?
