Just finished listening to the new song for the first time. It's good and I'm satisfied. I do echo some of the sentiments in this thread though. It reminds me a little bit of Aphex Twin's "Syro". While good, it's not exactly indicative of more than a decade's worth of progress. It feels more like Tool is just picking up where they left off with 10,000 Days, which would be fine if this was 2009, but it's not, and it's not like they haven't been making music all this time since then. Still, it's just one song, and a pretty nice one at that. I'm just hoping the new record has more to it to set it apart from the other Tool albums. Also, please reprint Aenima on vinyl.

Soooo, turns out the packaging for the new album is going to be pretty nuts... https://metalinjection.net/metal-merch/physical-version-of-new-tool-album-to-come-with-hd-screen-built-in-speaker quote:Tool has created a deluxe, limited-edition CD version of Fear Inoculum. The collectible offering, which was conceived by and directed by bands guitarist Adam Jones.
