They should fire Valverde. He has consistently encouraged trash rear end football, does not know how to rotate players and over rates geezers over the young studs waiting in the wings. A loving leg of ham could manage this team to a league championship with the talent/financial advantages they have.

I disagree. Barcrelona have had a fantastic return of trophies under Valverde, and even reached the champions league semi final last year, losing to the eventual champions who have more of a history in the competition than them - no shame in that.

Barcelona fans really need to get over themselves and their sense of entitlement.

every barca manager in the past 10 years but Martino was able to win the league. so yea, he's better than him but it's not such a crazy accomplishment when you consider how lopsided things are in terms of roster construction and tv money. The guy has the best players in the world at his disposal and yet he continually needs late Messi goals to bail him out .

that might be entitled but when the board is spending more than anyone outside of Man City and routinely saying that winning the CL is the goal then it's fair to get upset at the manager who blew 3 goal leads (playing a cowardly 442) in back to back years.

That’s not a typo, they were fined Three Hundred Euros.

What happened to the exciting and good Atletico attack from preseason? This is the first game of theirs I've seen since then and offensively they have been truly dire, and I've heard nothing good about it since the league started either.

I think Simeone is still choosing very conservative line ups and trying to make Lemar play inside when he does bring him in.
That was a slog of a game but I sort of enjoyed it. Thomas Party might be my favourite non Barca player

Also enjoying Hazard turning into a fraud

Partey was really good indeed. Neither side really impressed up top, Benzema's header and Oblak's great save is about the only chance that stuck to my mind. Hazard really was quite bad.

He was training with United last season as well. It’s almost like he’s doing a farewell tour.

He is a striker available on a free, maybe United should take a punt...
