this is actually super important because attacking the wrong nation will literally earn you 0 loot no matter how thoroughly you beat them.

The upshot is that they MIGHT have a stockpile of resources that you can loot and flip on the market for a hefty sum of cash. I hit one guy who was pretty broke cash wise, but he wound up giving me a few thousand coal and I made $7M selling it on the market.

NO THAT'S NOT ME!!

Getting in on the ground floor, as per my previous posts. For anyone getting into this who hasn't played a game like this before, it's really easy. There's a few things you could and should read over to get familiar with the mechanics, but the beginning of the in game tutorial(the later half is not great and ends up costing you money. feel free to skip it) and the objectives(really easy and possibly the actual tutorial) are actually decently helpful and explain some of the odd bits of the game.

The game's really much easier than Cybernations ever was. Gone are the days of lovely sledding and tech trading. Now the game has calculators built in to help you do the maths needed to figure out what's profitable. there's a utility built in to help you find raid targets, which combined with the raidbot in discord, makes finding juicy targets a breeze. And we have Discord now to make it actually easy and decent to talk to other goons, so that's a plus compared to CN.

Paradox being mad at us probably makes it BLOC, the game made by a Ukranian with 2000 hours in gmod that died when he went soul searching for 6 months in Panama instead of moderating the game or banning cheaters (there were a lot of them and it was very badly coded). I think he mods D&D or CSPAM now.

Goons have had a very large footprint on browser games. :toot:

Cybernations (X2)
Lunar Wars
Galava
Ogame
Astro Empires
Tribalwars

Are just the ones I've played with goonsquads. I wouldn't be surprised if there's 10s of more.

2nd'ed There's tons of discussion and poo poo going on in the discord. Last night alone, we recruited a pubby(we'll see how long he lasts), had birb chat, made some avatars, built more bot scripts to make things easier, delved into playing the market(seemingly backwards to me, but apparently simple enough for a couple goons to make millions over the weekend), scouted some alliances that we can work towards hitting in the near-term, and generally just had some chill time talking. it's a pretty good vibe and group in there right now.

I'd like to mention that I was promoted to Grand Cardinal, which means I'm responsible for posting a decent quota of birds per day for goon morale and bird statistics. So, not only does the Discord get you super good help, resources and guides on how to grow big and stomp nazi pedos, but you'll also be served a healthy ration of birds.

It’s all done on discord, we have private channels that we mask you to access when you apply. We usually have at least 20 people online (out of ~40) on discord at any time.

This is one of those games that you can invest as much or as little time into as you want. 5 minutes a day or less is often enough to do your basic duties in the game, but you can also spend hours a day if you feel like getting into a diplomatic or internal position.

We mass raided a pubbie alliance, joined their discord, and messed up their counting game. Until one of their members point out that Roman numerals are technically correct. At which point we are all promptly kick banned from their discord, at some time after this the leader of the pubbie alliance went to every alliance he knew people in, to have us stop.

A short while later, we've been paid money to stop attacking this alliance and causing his man due amounts of stress.
