Depp was a far more powerful person with deep links across Hollywood, a beloved teen heartthrob, and star of multiple hollywood blockbusters. Even if he publicly destroyed his own career by being a lazy drunkard on the later Pirates movies. Meanwhile, Heard's career is basically dead after a few mediocre roles and a few lucky breaks, all because she caught the eye of a much older hollywood pervert. Now, will this movement continue? The chuds are riding high, they've demonstrated their ability to sway social media, and flood the media with bullshit. Depp's good friend Marilyn Manson would like to continue on his quest to destroy his ex girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, but Manson is a washed up loser who has been irrelevant for far longer than Depp has. And Brad Pitt would also like to destroy Angelina Jolie, but both of them are powerful figures in their own right, and Jolie has been working the scenes to pre-emptively kill Pitt's. I wasn't posting here when the Depp vs Heard trial was going down, but holy gently caress Twitter and Tiktok and Reddit were loving unusable during then.

No one has sued her, but her and a cabal of evangelical dark money psychopaths have sued the state for the right to discriminate against LGBT clients. This has been appealed all the way up to the loving supreme court, and you know what this pack of 6-3 jackals are about to do. Mignogna's case was simply ahead of its time.

Maybe it's a selection effect, but it really feels like there were so many opportunities for Gen Xers who were in their 20s and 30s during the 90s dot com boom era, so long as they had a seed of generational wealth, to absolutely break out into easy comfort. So examples like Tallarico who had enough capital to accrue a sound production studio. Or Mignogna who came from upper middle class wealth, which let him bum around for decades trying out dumb careers and getting kicked out of schools and youth pastors for harassing teen girls, into a voice acting role right as anime was breaking out into the mainstream. Or people like Lowtax who could live a lifestyle of oxy and gourmet cookies. Or hell, even people like Steven Paddock.

vic mignogna is lazy and disinterested in anything besides getting accolades from his fan club/discord and grooming women less than half his age so of course he was disinterested in vetting his legal team and their case for the same reason that when he was on the out noone in the industry wanted to help him out. he's just a poo poo to work with and a diva johnny depp at least threw some good parties and so he had a full complement of hollywood sickos to back up his case against the much younger woman he abused
