Got around to reading the issue itself and Big Daddy doesnt feature in the historians voting or retired wrestlers voting and in active wrestlers came 27th.
So how did he finish above Edge? This:

Baseball Hall even has precedent of guys getting extremely close and missing that you could reference, offhand I think guys have gotten 70% but not made it in the BBWA vote, and also tons of guys like Edge who almost certainly should be voted in as the lower end and are instead not close bc writers are stupid (Alan Trammell/Bobby Grich/Lou Whitaker a good trio for this)
