The Super-League is about making a fake baseball team. Also, failure. It is mainly about failure. There are going to be somewhere between 40 and 50 teams competing in the two divisions of the Super-League. Exactly one of them is going to be the Super-League Champion of Super-League XXVIII. Even all things being equal, your team would have something like a 2.5% chance of winning. But that assumes that you can, at the outset, create an outstanding team that is, from day one, capable of holding its own against the established powers of the Super-League, and that is unlikely to the extreme. In fact, odds are, your new team is going to die after a single season, culled to make room for new teams, with brighter fortunes. The Super-League is not a game for instant gratification. It is a game of frustration, perseverance, cunning, and, ultimately, deep-seated hatred of your fellow human beings. There, now don't say I didn't give you fair warning. So, pick teams, do your best, and, if you want or need more advice or guidance, go to the Super-League Discord. New Team Form Fill out Now This needs to be done to secure a spot in the Super-League Teams Selected: Pick eleven points worth of teams (twelve points for people who have never owned a Super-League team before), spread out over as many teams as you'd like. Hell, you could have eleven one-point teams if you really wanted. Fill Out Soon These items also need to be filled out, but not immediately, just as soon as you have some spare time Team Name: Team Logo (150x150 preferred): Home City: Home Stadium: (Give me the dimensions and playing surface if it's a custom stadium) DH Preference: 30-Man Roster: 25 in the majors, 5 in the minors Lineups: Pitching Rotation: Strategy (Rate on a scale from -5 to +5) Hit and Run: Sacrifice Bunt: Squeeze Play: Trying for extra bases: Stealing Bases: Aggressively Tagging Up: Pitch Outs (to prevent stolen bases): Giving Intentional Walks: Pitching Around Good Hitters: Bringing the Infield In: Guarding the Lines: Making Cutoff Throws: Bringing in Pinch Hitters: Bringing in Pinch Runners: Bringing in Defensive Replacements: Starting Pitchers on Short Rest: Letting pitchers pitch throw trouble: Letting Pitchers rack up high pitch counts: The Big, Big List of Feeder Teams Pick eleven points of feeder teams, twelve if you've never owned a team in the Super-League. 7 point feeders 5 point feeders 1949 Boston Red Sox 4 point feeders 1927 Philadelphia Athletics 1934 New York Giants 1949 Cleveland Indians 1949 New York Yankees 1950 Brooklyn Dodgers 1966 San Francisco Giants 1979 New York Yankees 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers 2011 St. Louis Cardinals 3 point feeders 1908 New York Giants 1922 St Louis Browns 1924 Cincinnati Reds 1928 St. Louis Cardinals 1943 Brooklyn Dodgers 1968 Detroit Tigers 1969 Baltimore Orioles 1973 Oakland Athletics 1976 Philadelphia Phillies 1981 California Angels 1982 St. Louis Cardinals 1983 Montreal Expos 1986 Kansas City Royals 1992 Toronto Blue Jays 2010 Texas Rangers 2010 Tampa Bay Rays 2011 Boston Red Sox 2011 Detroit Tigers 2012 Washington Nationals 2 point feeders 1894 Chicago Colts 1901 Baltimore Orioles 1924 Washington Senators 1935 Boston Red Sox 1938 Cincinnati Reds 1947 Boston Braves 1953 Philadelphia Phillies 1955 Chicago White Sox 1965 Cleveland Indians 1969 Boston Red Sox 1969 Minnesota Twins 1978 Chicago Cubs 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates 1999 Arizona Diamondbacks 2015 Kansas City Royals 2016 Pittsburgh Pirates 1 point feeders 1904 St. Louis Browns 1910 Cincinnati Reds 1911 Brooklyn Dodgers 1912 St. Louis Cardinals 1915 New York Yankees 1929 Philadelphia Phillies 1933 Brooklyn Dodgers 1933 Boston Braves 1936 Chicago White Sox 1938 St. Louis Browns 1948 Philadelphia Athletics 1951 St. Louis Browns 1957 Washington Senators 1958 Kansas City Athletics 1961 Chicago White Sox 1971 Montreal Expos 1972 Kansas City Royals 1975 Atlanta Braves 1976 San Diego Padres 1977 Chicago White Sox 1979 Seattle Mariners 1988 Chicago White Sox 1995 Milwaukee Brewers 1999 St. Louis Cardinals 2005 Cincinnati Reds 2009 San Diego Padres 2011 Oakland Athletics Future Dead Teams Modern Love (FairGame) Sydin (Sydin) Baseball Club (Frankenfreak) The Third Team (AmyL) Senadores de San Juan (oystertoadfish) Buc-ee's Beaver Bombers (FairGame's friend who will probably not still be his friend after a season in the Super-League) Kyoto Sprite Knights (CVE) END TIMES (blakelmenakle) Llamas (TheFlyingLlama) RoboUmps (habeasdorkus) mets (GenericGirlName) Smasher Dynamo fucked around with this message at 02:35 on Sep 30, 2019 |

I can't remember who is running the EC, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to repost the image, since the old logo is buried deep in the archives.

At the very least, I'm going to keep this thread open until habeasdorkus makes his team or says he's going to, since he's half of a tag team.
