i mean, people are definitely going to die when he loses. i'm not sure that constitutes a civil war, at least what i'm envisioning, but there will be a fair amount of violence. could escalate into something super bad, i guess, but that's unlikely. all of this is only going to get uglier until there's a boiling point. it's inevitable, and him losing could very well be that.

Thomas Jefferson apparently flipped his poo poo the first time they made a Constitutional ruling if i remember correctly, the first case to adjudicate the constitution was marbury v madison, which was a direct rebuke of something directly under jefferson. it went against him obv, so if i’m remembering correctly, then i’m not sure jefferson’s reaction is the best evidence of that. i’m not doubting your ultimate point, just this one piece of evidence. i’d check further but am on a train with spotty service. fix the trains, cuomo!

i don't know. potus has veered us so far off course that i think the world will latch onto and embrace for dear life anyone who wins that is obviously of sound mind. i think they'd actually like us more than they have in many, many years at that point. we still have like 2/3 of the world's military, you know, so they will collectively sigh in relief and celebrate. other countries will basically bend over backwards for the next sane president.
