This feels like 'The Mattering' The stunt with Gaetz, the performative calls for transparency, all of it. They're trying to get in front of it. The Ukraine thing is seriously indefensible so they're out running psy-ops on decorum and the process.

Imagine thinking that someone is going to escape in a UPS truck while you have air support, heavy traffic, daytime conditions, and dozens of radio-equipped cops in eyeball range of the GIANT BROWN TRUCK and not just following it until it runs out of gas/crashes/etc. Even if they hadn't killed someone, forcing them into a shootout was reckless disregard for the safety of virtually everyone in a 500yd radius.
