Based on trials and errors, to create your custom spell, place multi-cast first, spell modifier second, then actual spell projectile third to make them behave correctly. Without multi-cast, if you put a bunch of different spell in your wand it'll just cycle through the spell. Note some wand has innate multi-cast capability. Noita got good the moment I got a triple casting, bouncing projectile, fire trail, burning trail, and gunpowder arc wand. One mouse click cause the entire screen to explode for a good 15 seconds. Oh, and I also got fire immunity  Berzerk seems to double your damage and will cause enemies to attack each other.
