like if in that seahawks-patriots SB there was illegal contact or DPI on that 1st & goal, my nfl officiating committee would buzz down and say "lol they tried to throw the ball, gently caress them" and then the ref would address the stadium and say "they tried to throw the ball, did you see that poo poo?? lol"

The packers refused to run the ball and the football gods took their revenge. The packers even committed the great sin of throwing a pass to the fullback. They deserved to lose for their arrogance and flat out refusal to establish the run.

Part of me thinks we either need to cancel football or just go full cyborg body parts + no substance is illegal sign your life away blood-sport, rather then this weird false bullshit where we pretend the blood-sport is not a literal blood-sport. Maybe only let rich fail-sons join the league, to avoid exploitation. Anyway gently caress yeah Birds. The ideal Chiefs v Birds Andy Reid SuperBowl is back on the menu, baby.

If he was trying to blow him up he would have lowered and made contact with the top of the helmet, Burfict or Trevaithen style. You don’t run face-first into someone you’re trying to injure. His mistake was running in so late. Sendejo meanwhile is a terrible undisciplined player who tried to lay out a big hit without actually looking at what he was doing. That’s egregious and stupid, but I don’t think he was trying to injure anyone. He’s just poo poo at his job. Vengarr fucked around with this message at 05:16 on Sep 27, 2019 |

By rule, forward progress is stopped when the player is stood up exactly in place for at least one second, moving neither 'forward' nor 'backward', and has been dinged in the noggin
|
# ? Sep 27, 2019 05:14 |

You'd think standing up and letting the ball carrier hit you in the chest to stop forward momentum would be sufficient but that is antithetical to how defensive football is played so we live in this hell dimension.

This is the exact same garbage argument that was used for Trevathan annihilating Davante Adams but it's even worse this time because Williams was actively going backwards 3 yards with his knees buckling and Barnett very obviously saw this and lined up his helmet regardless
