Watch Trump gently caress this up and bend over backwards like the spineless little oval office he is, abandoning our Kurdish and Arab SDF allies, proving to people YET loving AGAIN that if you trust the US to have your backs, we will for a time, until it is not convenient for us. The Kurds deserve their own loving country. And lol @ abandoning them now, especially when ISIS is growing and rebuilding its insurgency, and has taken over territory again in Syria and Iraq. Also, lmao Trump's allies wanted the other Ukrainian to win so they could take over the Ukrainian gas conglomerate and get rich. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/07/trump-allies-pressed-ukraine-over-gas-firm.html quote:Trump allies pressed Ukraine over gas firm There's a lot more to the article. It's really good. Basically shows that when they're complaining of Biden's failson getting money for being corrupt, they were just really jealous that their preferred presidential candidate didn't win, so they wouldn't be able to siphon out as much money as they could being the corrupt shitbirds they are.

Turkey attacking the Kurds is exactly what ISIS wants. They are going to attack the SDF and YPG detention camps (where tens of thousands of ISIS members are being held) next. I loving guarantee it. ISIS has been waiting for a time like this. They've been preparing men, money, and materiel ever since they lost their physical caliphate.

Al-Hol detainees attack guards and start fires as Turkish assault begins https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/al-hol-detainees-attack-guards-and-start-fires-turkish-assault-begins I don't know why the YPG ever kept male ISIS prisoners to begin with. I know why the SDF did - we were partnered with them, and that was probably a condition that we made. But how could there be so loving many ISIS prisoners? Ten thousand or more. Aren't these prisoners failures in their own mind? They failed to martyr themselves. They got taken prisoner by "kafirs" and "apostates." They were failures. And these ISIS prisoners can't be reformed. Imprisoning jihadis of all types just radicalizes them even more, as we've seen all across the ME. All of the European and American assholes who went to Syria to fight for ISIS want to go back to their countries and commit terrorist attacks. So what does the SDF do? Honestly, what do they do? Just wait for the prisoners to successfully escape and join the ISIS insurgency, and possibly be killed by them one day? Or do they do what ISIS would do to them if they had the chance? I honestly wouldn't blame the Kurds in any way shape or form if they just executed every single fighting age male prisoner. Turkey gives no fucks about the ISIS prisoners being released or escaping - it'll just create more chaos for them to exploit, and tie up Kurdish resources. The whole situation is a clusterfuck of epic proportions. All of this could've been avoided if we had a president with a backbone who stood up to Turkey and Erdogan. That fighter pilot who had that autocratic piece of poo poo in his sights during the failed coup probably regretted not killing Erdogan for the rest of his short, torture-filled life.

The intent does matter in the eyes of The Hague, though. And even if it was exactly the same, you're comparing a single apple on the one hand (the U.S.'s) to an entire loving orchard (Russia and Syria). The scale of it happening intentionally by Russia and Syria is completely insane, and our massive fuckups are a drop in the bucket compared to that. Even setting aside intent, comparing them isn't at all fair because the difference in frequency and scale.

John Bolton described Rudy Giuliani as a 'hand grenade' that would 'blow everybody up' https://amp.insider.com/john-bolton-fiona-hill-white-house-lawyers-giuliani-ukraine-2019-10 Former national security adviser John Bolton was so alarmed by Rudy Giuliani's pressure campaign on Ukraine for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden that he directed a top aide to tell White House lawyers he wasn't involved, The New York Times reported. Bolton's directive came after he got into a heated exchange with Gordon Sondland, the US ambassador to the European Union who was part of Giuliani's shadow foreign policy with respect to Ukraine. "I am not part of whatever drug deal Rudy and Mulvaney are cooking up," Bolton instructed his aide, Fiona Hill, to tell White House lawyers, according to Hill's testimony cited by The Times. The Times also reported that Bolton described Giuliani as a "hand grenade" that would "blow everybody up."
