fall has begun and the scary season is upon us...shorter days, longer nights, survival horror and walking sims, tis the season. whats on everyone's plate for the scary month? im gonna start playing the Shadow Hearts games, i really like koudelka even though it was pretty rough and im curious to see how they expand it. maybe Ill try a Fatal Frame game too!

I think I’ve said in each iteration of this thread for the last 3 years that this October I’ll finally put some real time into Darkest Dungeon and Alien: Isolation, but I’ve been on a big horror kick recently even though I’ve never really been into the genre previously so I think 2019 might be the year I actually do it. I also have Observer_ and SOMA for scary walking sims to get to. If anyone knows any cool ghost or demon-themed horror games give me a tip, looks like all I’ve got is sci-fi horror, which is cool but I’ve been in a ghostly mood after watching a few movies about evil spirits the past couple days

It's October, which means it's time for my yearly attempt at playing/completing Silent Hill 2. My estimation is that I'll get a solid 40 minutes of gameplay in this year, broken up into four separate attempts, of course. Horror games are simultaneously my favorite and the thing that I absolutely can't stand playing. I love horror movies, but they don't get to me at all. Meanwhile, I'm shrieking in terror after 10 minutes of Silent Hill 1. I still haven't finished Claire B in REmake 2, and I have a half-finished playthrough of REmake 1. But now I have re-re-re-repurchased it and RE4 on Switch, so I might restart on Switch, since I game way more in handheld mode. Outside of pure survival horror, I'd like to get on some thematic vibes gameplay. Maybe something like SMT Nocturne, which I have on PS3, just have to hook it up. I did start a Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow run earlier this year, and it might be time to revisit that. october gaming hoiiiiiiiiiipe
