The legend of Bo nix is now the story of a QB who gave away a game that the defence won for him. Gus's offence is god drat awful too. Florida had absolutely no respect for the sweep/qb run on their option plays. This is becoming a blatantly obvious reoccurring trend when they play the strong SEC teams and it's getting infuriating to watch our running back slam into a crowded box because everyone in the building knows that Nix/Stidham isn't going to hold on to the ball and run it themselves. For a guy who's marketed as an offensive genius he is being out-coached by strong SEC teams on a regular basis and seems completely incapable of making any adjustments to account for it. Auburn's front 7 is terrifying though, as I said if they had a QB capable of not completely loving up they would have stole that game for Auburn.

Tulane should be ranked above Texas. Tulane's only loss is to Auburn. Texas lost to a team who is too scared to play Tulane. (despite still owing them a game in New Orleans.)

Pregame I saw he was a go for the game, and I saw him on the sideline but I thought it was weird I never saw him in on any plays. Assumed he was rusty and just not getting in on tackles. Herding a 3yo while nursing some nerves with whisky made it hard to pay attention. I was really encouraged by that defensive performance with Henderson and Wilson back at it together. Not nearly as much blown coverage.

I get the Texas pessimism especially considering the injuries, but Oklahoma has played the world's softest schedule so far, and I always wonder about a team going up against a real opponent for the first time in October. And yeah, its the shootout, poo poo happens

I'm still mad at the ACC and the horrific reffing. https://twitter.com/cg_mia/status/1180983494375329792 This apparently wasn't targeting. It was called and then picked up, so i guess i just don't know what the rule is.

It's looking likely that Lynn Bowden will be Kentucky's starting quarterback against Arkansas. Apparently he is next up on the depth chart, with all the injuries that have piled up. Here are UK's QBs in preseason order: Terry Wilson (out for year, knee) Sawyer Smith (shoulder, wrist) Nik Scalzo (out for year, preseason ACL) Walker Wood (still recovering from surgery, can't throw downfield) Armani Gilmore ("long way to go") I firmly believe that we are no worse than 4-1 if Wilson had stayed healthy. This was supposed to be a season where Kentucky showed they weren't going to take a huge step back, but when you're down to your 4th string QB who is actually you're best wide receiver, not sure how many teams can have success with that.
