I see what you did there. (It's pretty easy, since ducks have a field of vision spanning 340 degrees.)

Has anyone picked it up on Quest yet? How's the performance?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'll consider getting a Quest during Black Friday/Cyber Monday then. Has anyone tried traveling with a Quest through an airport security point? One of the main things I like about the Quest is the fact that I could bring it with me and have my family have a go at VR during the Holidays, but I am a bit afraid about being stopped from bringing it on a plane since it's a relatively unknown piece of technology.

I flew with it a couple of times just after it was released and had no issues at all. Also seen reports of people using them to watch movies and poo poo while in the air.

All of the talk about IPD makes me wonder. I can barely, if at all, telly the difference between one end of the quest ipd slide and the other. I haven't found anyone that's really needed to mess with it when trying either. Does it just help with relative fuzziness? I had an optometrist measure me and came up with R: 32.0 L:33.0

I had the problem with the dlc not getting added to cart on my desktop. Once you select oculus platform, you have to make an additional selection below that. It seemed pretty wonky, but worked after I got it properly selected.

I used to have the original Quest and picked up a Quest 3 a couple of weeks ago. Really enjoying it for the most part but I'm struggling with some lightheadedness and a slight headache or eye tension or something especially when playing things like walkabout mini golf. Don't notice it as much with beat saber or supernatural. I've got my IPD measured both by an optometrist years ago and tried a couple of different iphone apps that measure it and they all agree around 65, though I can't really tell a difference even between like 62-68 or more. I've also tried setting the eye displacer at different depths and that's not really helping. I just installed one of these https://www.kiwidesign.com/products/battery-head-strap-for-quest-3 and also hasn't really made a difference. I'm not sure what else to try. It's not enough to stop me from using it but it's fairly annoying, especially since I never had issues with the original Quest.

Yeah but I need it on my Vision Pro so I can have my calendar and "Masters of the Air" on Apple TV+ on the side.

Is it a terrible idea to take my quest 3 up on my roof deck? It's large enough that I can setup boundaries to make sure I'm nowhere near falling off the roof, and I know not expose the lenses inside to sunlight.

I got the Daft Punk pack for Beat Saber and its been a long time since Ive played that game. Supernatural VR has kinda soured me on it. The beat mapping is just chaotic and narrow feeling and doesnt really feel like I was grooving with the music much.

I understand its a game so "hit everything perfectly" is sort of the point but I just enjoy the bigger range of motion and focus on physical challenge and the more rhythmic mapping style of Supernatural.

Beat Saber just feels like chaoticly flailing my wrists and its not nearly as satisfying anymore.

Some of the custom maps are better for that, but they’re tough to find and unfortunately don’t at all overlap with top rated ones. I’ve actually found myself getting a little bored with supernatural flow lately. Even high intensity barely gets my heart rate up usually, although I’m sure some of that is me not lunging as much it wants me to due to a bad knee. Boxing is still a lot of fun.

I’ve been playing some ragnarok for fun drumming action but I’ve found after a couple of songs it aggravates an old injury in one of my shoulders :(
