played Underspace for a bit... first impression was not good at all, extremely rough and clunky UI, voice acting is half assed and seems arbitrary which lines are spoken vs written and makes it hard to follow wtf is going on when wingmates are talking to you and theres 2 text boxes on screen at once as your character is talking too while combat is going on and some of the enemy NPC death screams are hilariously bad (to be fair they did make very sure to tell you that all Voice Acting is extremely WIP, adding a note about it with EVERY SINGLE LINE). The walking around in station scenes are also janky as hell, like asset-flip shovelware bad.

BUT once you get into space it is definitely faithful to Freelancer (almost to a fault) and the lovecraftian giant space monster twist they put on it does look like it could be pretty cool. I do really love freelancer though so will most likely be putting a few more hours into it to see if it can get its hooks in me. There is potential here for sure and from some of the steam reviews ive been reading there is a lot of content right now despite the early access jank.

Singleplayer/Co-op Tarkov. It's Tarkov, but set in Vietnam and you can play offline. It works almost exactly the same with all the gunporn stuff like swapping out rails, barrels, putting on two flashlights and a laser. Yes, you can put the laser on the top of your rail and block your iron sights (I know because I did it by accident). You get randomized missions and get paid for successfully completing them. You lose all the stuff you're carrying if you die, so you've got a reason to loot all those extra AKs that you find. Only one map available at the moment.

Early Access: 75% positive from 162 reviews.

Several things aren't well or fully explained yet. They need a UI pass or something. It doesn't tell you anywhere that you can rotate items by pressing "r" while dragging it in the inventory. Crucial for playing backpack tetris.

Has no one posted this one? It seems pretty cool but it is kind of getting mixed reviews due to early access bugs, but the bad reviews still seem mixed on it. It uses real world maps so you can set your base at your real life neighborhood if you want. I don't own it yet so I can't comment more on it.

I ended up buying this. I have to say it is really interesting how the real world map integrates in to the game. It somewhat ties building types to resources. So grocery stores have food, police stations have guns, medical buildings have med supplies etc. So if you base it in your neighborhood, you kind of have an idea where you want to go to get things, to a limited extent, it isn't perfect. It's also just really neat knowing the neighborhood you are in. It's a really cool gimmick actually. Also this game right now has mixed reviews, but there are like 10k concurrent players with a peak of 20k. Kind of wild for a game like this.

Aww, thanks man. It's almost a little hobby of mine, and I think its worthwhile to try and get more eyes on obscure games that people may like if they try.

Unfortunately it's been a little slow recently. I've seen plenty of new games, but the vast majority don't meet the minimum quality level that I try to enforce.
