Right but that's my point in that those guys are on the mend so I think the addition of those guys is way better than any trade you can get. Spend the time and money on some linebacker if there even is one available.

edit: also is it in Drew Lock's best interest to get healthy

They can't trade him. Solder's got $13m in signing bonus money left from the next two years, so trading him would add that to his cap hit (you could save maybe $3m in salary by trading him), so that's $10m more on this year's cap, and the Giants only have $3m in space.

The nightmare version of this is the Falcons, who ignoring Matt Ryan & Julio), can't trade Desmond Trufant ($10m extra in dead cap), Grady Jarrett ($27m), Jake Matthews ($19m), Devonta Freeman ($6m), Deion Jones ($21m), or Jamon Brown ($8m). That's 8 of the biggest cap hits on their roster. Vic Beasley is also in there, and I guess they could trade Alex Mack if they wanted.

If the Broncos are benching Flacco for his comments rather than his injury then you'd think Flacco would say something about it... right?

Unless they're dangling the offer of an IR settlement over his head, but it's not like Flacco needs money.

If they continue to play like they have been, the only team that has a chance among those is the Saints. You could make an argument for the Packers, I think their run defense is way too porous and the 49ers will run it down their throat

e: splitting the Seattle games maybe not impossible with RWBS, but I don't think they have the defense for it

Kalli
Jun 2, 2001

Seahawks are a dumb team with a great QB, so those are dangerous.

Packers are that, but less dumb.

Cardinals are an overmatched but scrappy middle of the road team.

Ravens are a smart team, but a bit undermanned

Saints are just drat good

Falcons are dead.

Rams defense has settled down after a very poor start and are feeling themselves out on offense. Dangerous.

Schedule is a bit scary, but the only game you should expect them to lose is that Saints game, everything else is at worst a 60-40 split.

Even if they finish 5-4 they'll probably have home field advantage for the playoffs. Beating the Saints is probably the key one there.

Incredibly run heavy team with a nasty defense usually doesn't match up 100% against high octane passing teams. I suspect they'll drop one to Seattle and prob lose one or all to the Rams, Saints, or Packers.

So I guess pretty well, with @BAL, @NO, @SEA being the 3 hardest games left?
