Well, this was random.

Yeah, this is a game that took some really silly choices in relation to VC1. I highly suspect that many of the restrictions were trying to adapt the game to a portable system; not just map design, but promotion system to pad out game time in relation to the small amount of maps, etc.

Also, it was pretty clear that they had no idea where to take the story after the sudden success of VC1 (honestly, I think they STILL struggle with how to write the story after VC1 considering the directions that VC3/4 took, although at least those games still have pretty good stories despite that).

Still, this game shows just how solid the VC1 combat system was because this game is still kind of fun despite the one step-forward, two steps back design.
