Dang, thanks for all the love. I wanted only to give a good gift; causing a nuclear panic was an unexpected but very welcome development. I nominate Stinkypete for Most Original. I don't usually laugh at my phone in public, but between the GiP embroidery and the mini Groverhaus, I was doubled over (and catching some weird looks at the food court) when it was first posted.

Every time I post that a gift will no longer be delivered due to it being stuck in customs limbo forever, it somehow is delivered within two days, sooooo... It's now been 13 days since my gift has "departed" Frankfurt airport (I'm assuming this means it physically was checked through from the receiving logistics terminal and transported to customs, because customs is a bit off-site and outside Frankfurt), and nothing takes more than 10 days in German customs (and if it does, and there's an issue, it gets transported to a customs office near the destination, and you get a notification to pick it up and pay extra / clarify issues), therefore I now no longer believe it will be delivered. ...

Turns out I was too stupid to check the tracking this morning, apparently my package cleared customs just after midnight. But good day to bitch about it never clearing customs, I guess.
