Well, considering where we've seen it before... That does bring up some questions. From what I can tell, she swaps Gauntlets specifically for that scene. So either she swapped out Gauntlets mid-fight (why???), that's a Blue Man Group clone of some sort, or possibly some other explanation that hasn't come to mind at the moment.

The Lingji gauntlet mystery has come up on the Ciconia chats I’m part of, but I also don’t think anyone has been able to parse it completely from what we have in Phase 1. I think it’s definitely related to the fact that Blue Miyao claims early on that Lingji will die because her shield will fail, which implies that’s what occurred in the last scene. So maybe that gauntlet is bugged. What’s weirder is that that gauntlet type is associated with Vier and we know from her first scene that Vier doesn’t get along with the Three Kings, so it can’t be in favor of their plans. The closest thing I have to a theory is that Toujirou had it given to her by a COU contact knowing he could get Miyao to kill her if she switched to that. But that requires a lot of assumptions, one being that it implies Toujirou and Vier are in contact and thus that Vier is probably Miyao’s mom. So while this was already unofficially dead in the water as an LP, the laptop with all my LP materials on it just died, meaning that I probably won't have the capacity, let alone the energy, to finish the Tips. Things I'm considering: 1. Putting this on "Indefinite Hiatus" until I get my new laptop set up and files transferred, which lord knows when that will happen. 2. Just submitting it to the LParchive without the Tips. Sorry about all this!
