Aeka 2.0 posted:gently caress yeah, thanks. And you thought car poo poo was a black hole... If you want a good YouTube series to watch that's somewhat entertaining, EEVBlog is a good start. I started watching Dave years and years ago, and I've learned a lot from him. I really like his teardowns, because he's good at recognizing the different functional blocks and that poo poo makes troubleshooting your own stuff so much easier. If you've got a power problem, there's no reason to spend your first troubleshooting efforts on, say, a logic section. His accent is a hot/cold thing, and I don't mind it at all. His catchphrases can be annoying, but it's like AvE, you learn to ignore them or you stop watching. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=channel?UC2DjFE7Xf11URZqWBigcVOQ Fundamentals Friday are a good start, as is this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMXiD3dKYJc Other channels: ProtoG FranLab W2AEW MrCarlson'sLab (He's not a serial killer, I promise) AfroTechMods There are dozens more.

Life has been busy, haven't taken much video or photos. Been battling a bit of depression so my desire to do things has slipped. But I'm getting close to getting the wiring done and I'm feeling better. That's about it for now.

Love the thread, count me in as another Aeka fan from years ago. I think we both posted on the riceboy message board back in the day too (where I found out about SA after somebody here did the classic image leeching switcharoo on an ebay auction). Good luck with the battles both with the car and with life, we're all rooting for you!

Thanks. I'm sure it was on honda-tech or hondaacura or some poo poo like that, lol. Good times of knowing nothing but acting like we did.

I pulled down the original bumper from the rafters and... its warped. Is there a way to fix this or should I toss it? Right now I just put it outside to see if it will correct itself.

Huh. I would guess a heat gun would soften that up. Does it get super hot in your rafters?

SoCal, so probably. I suspect a heat gun plus mounting it up would fix it.

If that heat gun lasts more than a dozen power cycles I'll be surprised. I had 3 burn up on me in 15 minutes one day. The 3rd time I was back I just got my money back. LOL as I hit to post I heard "first time use" and flipped over to see the smoking heat gun

Pmuch all Chinese heatguns have a coating on the coils for assembly/shipping that's meant to burn off the first time you run it. My Powerfister has been going for several years and it absolutely rolled coal the first 3 or 4 times lol (they were nice enough to put a label right across the business end of the thing saying YOU WILL SEE SMOKE THE FIRST TIME THIS IS NORMAL).

Ahh. I'm used to the expensive steinel at work. Sure glad I did all my expensive parts buying right before the poo poo hit the fan. Now I'm afraid to buy a few fittings to get my air conditioning hoses started. This thread may turn into a life of quarantine image dump for now.

I just assumed everyone was stalking you CLICK THE BELL TO GET NOTIFIED. I have a couple Saturns and want to get into the games, but they are too expensive. Hopefully one of the new flashcart-y things will be both cheap and effective.

I'm glad you like non sequitur mush. That's my brain. The TV has component in, so RGB is already built in and I've RGB modded my consoles and have a SCART to Component adapter.
