Jo kept having episodes of being on the iss because that Jo is still alive. Irene doesn't have those, her other half is dead. Henry did because bud was alive. Paul didn't have arm pain because his other half is truly dead too? Paul also was explaining to Alice how bad her mom was injured, before being stopped, so I don't think there is a 3rd universe, we just didn't get to see the extent of the injury until the end.
