a 12-1 Minnesota with a loss in the Big Ten Title game would have a better resume than an 11-1 Alabama at the end of the season. Iowa/Penn State/Wisconsin are probably better than Auburn/A&M, and both teams played mostly the dregs of their respective conference (Arkansas vs Rutgers might be a toss-up)
