also, though we were very strong defensively this past season in the USL, Gary Smith's football was at times abysmal to watch and likely won't work nearly as well against stronger opponents

FC Cincinatti signed a ton of defensive players, they just all sucked. Maybe Anibabba is much better than 2014, but he was a horrible center back in Seattle and that was starting next to Marshall.

Honestly looking forward to this, much more interesting than playing a random European team in a friendly.

Rapids just brought Abubakar back permanently from Columbus for $400k in GAM and a 2020 international spot.

Rapids have also acquired Austin Trusty from Philly for $300k in 2020 TAM, $300k in 2021 GAM, and a possible additional $150k in 2021 GAM depending on performance objectives.

Pretty piece of work by the Rapids. :allears:

(Now lets see if they can make it work next year...)

All this because Nelson was afraid of being confused with a Dick Wolf show.

I’m glad the Fire partnered with the Gangster Disciples for the badge. Interesting marketing strategy, we’ll see how much increased exposure they’ll get when people see the logo on garage doors, freight train cars, and under viaducts.

Still no teams in MLS using AFC (Association Football Club) to annoy everyone except for the old school English association football purists (i.e., me), or SFC (Soccer Football Club) to annoy everyone except for the old school American soccer football purists (also me).

Oscar Pareja just resigned/got fired from Tijuana and Twellman is saying Orlando nabbed him.

Orlando with Pareja at the helm might actually be able to...draw Atlanta instead of losing to them.

I wonder if Orlando is coming to Denver this year. And what kind of reception OP would get...:ssj:

Meanwhile the Denver Post is reporting the Rapids are supposedly ready to bring back fan favorite Drew Moor.

https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/11/25/report-colorado-rapids-sign-drew-moor-free-agent

He may be older and on the tail end of his career but there’s a lot of people going nuts over the idea already. Sign him as depth on defense, veteran back line leadership, etc and I’ll be happy.
