Yes I was enjoying this thread when it was. Would love to see an English translation of the book but that doesn't seem to be on anyone's radar.

That's for continuing these. It's quite an interesting book and your commentary helps contextualize it. The book itself must be a bit more popular now. I remember seeing it mentioned in the New Yorker earlier this year. And there's translated copies for sale on Amazon but they seem to be machine translated with all the problems that entails.
