To use exaggerated theoretical numbers, if there are 80 80-year-olds being cared for fulltime, 100 60-year-olds, 120 40-year-olds, 140 20-year-olds, but only 100 infants being cared for fulltime, you have 180 workers, compared to 100 of each generation yielding 100 or 80/100/120/140/160 yielding 120.
