I think it’s a badder take to suggest that you can’t kill someone by swinging an NFL helmet straight into their exposed head, but I don’t think I would be the first person to spit the “He coulda killed him!” hottake either, if that makes sense...

He could've given him the 8th worst head injury someone suffered in that game!

Myles Garrett made the mistake of escalating things beyond "a little chippy"

If only it had escalated into players from both teams all ripping their helmets off in unison and throwing them at each other as they charged each other like the opening fight in Gangs of New York.

Do we actually know if Mason said anything or is that all just speculation?

I've posted this years back and it's definitely time to repost this on 70's football:

From Ed White, G from '69-'85

quote:

Joe Greene and I had been defensive tackles in the college all-star games. We played in one in San Francisco and one in Hawaii, so I got to know him pretty well.

We were playing the Steelers in my first game, and Joe had been their number one draft choice. We had a guard from USC named Jim Vellone. He was quite spicy. Apparently Jim called Joe a name he didn't like.

On the next series, Joe came back into the game with a screwdriver he'd gotten from the sideline. Unfortunately, they'd pulled Vellone out and put me in.

So there's Joe standing there seething, his eyes widened as open as he could get them, expecting Vellone to come back at left guard.

He had this screwdriver in his hand and I thought whoa. I'm yelling at him, "Hey Joe, It's me Ed!" I don't remember exactly what happened next, but he went off the field. So I avoided having to block an angry defensive tackle holding a screwdriver.

Pats - Eagles was a slobberknocker of two offensive lines that could not stand up to the opposing pass rush. Just absolutely brutal trying to pick up first downs for both teams most of that game.

Is it tho?

league average: 7.3
Steelers / Dolphins at 2nd worst with 6.2
Bears: 5.8

That's pretty impressively bad I gotta admit.

Ravens rushing yards per attempt: 5.7

I was pretty checked out for most of that game, but still lol at this being your 3rd and 1 play

https://twitter.com/SethGalina/status/1196479243712106496

RB is 9 yards behind the LoS on 3rd and 1
Bears #72 is providing moral support to whatever lineman is in front of him while an unblocked Rams defender is getting ready to put a JACKED UP highlight on sportscenter
At least two other unblocked Rams players will be able to get to the RB before he gets 1 yard.

Do the Redskins still say they have this enormous season ticket waiting list? I remember my old nemesis Redkins fans used to boast about how high they were on the list.

No, they revealed that was a lie quite awhile ago.

It came up after the 2008 crash when Washington started suing a bunch of fans who dropped their season tickets for breach of contract, due to, you know, losing their jobs and homes.
