While I am curious to see how some rednecks digging for gold relates at all to our arachnid friends (or maybe there isn't any and someone just realized there needs to be something with some kind of motivation, even if its in the literal background) I wonder if there was any thought given to making an action game just with what this game has. Just spiders and lizards and snakes talking and being all threatening to each other over some flimsy rivalry.

They are certainly making full use of the voice talents they got for this game and definitely didn't actually just get them so they could record interviews extolling the game. I'm starting to get a feeling of what the final boss is.
