I wonder if ESPN and NBC deliberately makes these graphics lovely because they know people enjoy how bad they are.

Defense is done. Man, what a statement from SF. Hope the Seahawks can keep up, week 17 being for the division and a bye would be incredible.

10-6, 11-5 season for the Packers probably. Honestly, given I was expecting 8-8 or 9-7, we should be happy with it for LaFleur's first year. Some more additions and changes in the offseason and hope that this Rodgers thing isn't what it seems like and the next couple years should probably be good to go. Get another WR, get a MLB, clean out the TE position.

How has Green Bay's defense been after the first few games? I remember we were all talking about how they were finally good toward the beginning of the season. This just an off night because they're out there all the time or have they regressed to being generally bad?

The Packers getting their poo poo kicked in makes me feel slightly better about how the Panthers did against the 49ers.

A huge improvement over the latter-day Dom Capers defenses but still frustrating and inconsistent. The defensive line and the Smiths are adding great pass rush, Alexander is a budding star, Amos and Savage finally provide consistency and reliability that the Packers haven't had at safety in ages. That said, middle linebacker and CB2 are huge holes that other teams consistently exploit. You saw these Kittle catches tonight (that's CB2) and you saw how the 49ers could just consistently get to the second level without too much trouble (that's MLB).

one thing i really hate about watching the packers on TV is that every time the offense comes out, commentators insist on suggesting jimmy graham is a valuable weapon "time to try and get jimmy graham involved" "this is the kind of situation where you've gotta watch out for the former basketball player jimmy graham"

The Packers pessimism is wild. You’re going to be 8-3 with maybe two losable games left on the schedule, and that’s counting the Bears game. You’re basically guaranteed a playoff spot even if you lose to Minnesota.
