listen, we're all nerds here. what is your oldest file? i have albums ripped at insanely bad quality, and also, the first photoshops i ever did. lemme find them. but BUT what are your oldest legacy files? |

my very oldest files are the results of the regional 1983 bear count. old charts and graphs in long-dead formats about how many bears are where. the only ones that will still open on a modern computer are the spreadsheets. but if someone wants to know how many bears there were (and where), i've got the data.

There's a box of 50 floppies with really dumb names from '97-99 sitting in my parent's basement. If they still work (most are probably dead from improper storage) there should be some sim city 2000 saves which might actually be interesting to see just how hosed up my cities were. Also should be several wav files from when I discovered the monitor had a built in mic. There's also one with all the starcraft voices reversed because I thought it was hilarious. If I remember right Zealots say Kiyee arrrff narrff yarff which cannot be My Life For Aiur backwards

If we're not counting storage media that's too old to be accessed, then my oldest files are from a horrible webcomic I did back in college. So, 2001, or thereabouts. I was quite ashamed of myself when I found them. |

I have some IDE drives someplace, they have travels of old poo poo. I bet I even have my old TV tuner recordings that would include FlCL and .hack\\sign. I remember archiving down to a few hundred MB per night, not even per show I bet it is unwatchable. It looked good as a raw file but that was several gigs an hour and that goes quick when an 80gb harddrive was $150 |

Never connected to my real name, so I'm not worried about that, just that they are soooooooo bad. I don't even have all of them, had to scavenge what I could off the wayback machine. At the risk of embarassing myself, I will post one of the only complete sets I could find. Keep in mind I did these while repeatedly going on and off antidepressants.    Makes me wonder what was wrong with me 18 years ago. |
