Anyone else doing much cooking for the holidays? I'm hosting this year instead of my parents so I'm excited to prepare food with flavours other than salt and pepper.

So far I've prepared eggnog ice cream, vinarterta, and roasted carrot dip, today I'm putting together a yule log, some potato buns, and cheddar crackers, and preparing a veggie loaf, and tomorrow I'll finish everything up and add some harissa gruyere potatoes gratin. My sister in law is doing meats and a few sides. Flavours!

Oh yeah and I'll probably make some meringues to use up the egg whites left from the ice cream.

I...don't think I liked the first episode of Picard. Just did a re-watch of TNG of perhaps the tonal whiplash was too much. Hopefully I enjoy the rest of the series more.

Good dog, though! (Even though he should be fixed).

In poli-talk my client yesterday was wearing an Infowars shirt and drinking from an Infowars bottle but no one in the clinic except me knew what that was. On one hand I guess it's good that Alex Jones had been de-platformed, but it seemed weird that none of the ten or so people I asked were familiar with his schtick.

Welp, I managed to get a super early flight on Wednesday which takes me from England to Frankfurt to a Canadian city three hours from mine to my city, with two four hour layovers.

I chose the Frankfurt connection over a US one due to the US screening protocols, but now I'm worried Germany will close their borders to the UK. Then again, I'm not sure that applies to passers-through.

And we're having a big family gathering tomorrow which seems like a very bad idea.

Plus, at the time, I couldn't wrap my head around a rich dude that old having so many relationship problems. I've reconsidered that stance.
