I completely slept on New Vegas because I thought it was an addon to Fallout 3 and I wasn't real jazzed about that game. Been enjoying the Star Ocean re-issue on my Wii. There's a lot of mechanics going on that surprised me it was a Super Famicon release originally. I still there's a lot of unexplored space in the SNES-PSX era RPGs. And I keep thinking if I had the time/effort/skills that doing an FFV style RPG would be neat. I really need some help finding good Indian action flicks and shows on netflix. Started watching Maharakshak Devi and aside from the fab looking cast, its a really terrible show. Nothing makes sense. I got mad at it. Ended up watching Escape From The Badlands even tho it didn't fit the bill but I had a migraine and bloodshed is the only thing that tames it these days. glorious blood.

I have, through careful examination, have determined that all the Indian TV shows on netflix are loving terrible. Pretty actors stuck in contrived plots because no one can sit down and talk like a normal person. There's also a severe lack of practicality. Like trained professionals missing important details and the like. ended up watching the live action of Mob Psycho 100. I think it was Way of the Samurai games that really rewarded you for multiple playthroughs. The game itself was short. Like about 2 hours of loving around at most with permadeath. I really wish RPGs would include more fleeing mechanics in their random encounters. Like "holy poo poo, we have picked on the wrong party! skedaddle!" stuff. I want to feel powerful and appreciated in videogames because sometimes I don't feel like it in real life.

Indiana has weird laws regarding bars(you can thank the illiterate rear end puritans for this) including requiring all bars to have a stove in operation while the bar is open. My fave college dive had the same cream of chicken soup on simmer for like 8 years.

Post EP1 thoughts: If you're not in it for WITCHER poo poo all you're getting is Grumpy Old Man And His Feisty Princess Sword Porn. I've only played Witcher 3 so a lot of the Geralt/Ciri backstory doesn't get filled in towards the end(particularly Ciri's family history). Seeing it playing out forwards like is cool and neat. The moral scenario of the first episode was cool and witcher like. Like in the game, Geralt can throw up his hands and walk away, then find out in a later bit of story what the consequences were. As far as sword porn shows go, its pretty servicable. I can't really think of a better show to recommend in place of it for people that wanna see eastern european sword poo poo.

I tried to like Game of Thrones but I felt it jumped around too much to really follow. If I have to do the podcast and wiki thing to keep up, that's too much fuckin work. I guess part of it, is I'm used to shows with smaller casts like Kamen Rider or revolving door guest star shows like Ultraman. And a lot of the titilation was substandard. I think I watched two episodes of Vikings total and they all looked the same to me. Couldn't tell beardy white dude A from beardy white dude B. And these are more or less My People.

Finished Witcher. A bit messy for what should have been a straight forward story. I can see GoT comparisons because of the wacky state powerplay stuff they tacked on. That should have been ale fluff while the witcher does his witchering imo. They also did a poo poo job explaining what the gently caress a witcher is.

I got the new Pokemon game and its pretty awesome. You can customize your clothes, I can now be the soft femme goth of my dreams! At first I thought the game had translation problems but it turns they all speak a bastardized version of UK english. The game world is huge and overwhelming. I just got to my first wild area, promptly got my rear end kicked and am gearing up to go back in again. Also I got a meowth and a pikachu from dicking around. Also a lvl 40 Golding from the blind trade feature(uh thanks?). Anyway, I'm gonna wreck some pokefaces. I love you all and wish you all the merriment your creepy little fleshsacks can handle.

I didn't like how the show kinda jumps around historically and doesn't give you a whole lot of indication until it dawns on you. Its not really a mystery if it just confuses you. I want more tho. Cavill manages to Geralt the gently caress out of everything. Even getting laid.
