I have barely watched any anime this year so the only show I can really vote for is Hi Score Girl. The OVAs that came out this past March were the high point of the show and while the second season slowed down a bit it was smart to end it where it did to not drag it out any longer.

I just found Hi Score Girl so charming and nostalgic. I also thought it has been one of the best romances I have ever seen an a anime, which does not say a lot but, but counts for something. I loved seeing the time pass and telling by video game releases.
